How to use the Q LOC2 Axle

My pedelec has one of these axles and I couldn't figure out how to remove it before watching this video. I guess it is some kind of theft-proofing.

no, its just stupidity, it has nothing to do with theft proof.

19 out of 20 times the collet will not go completely flush into the axle and will get caught on the edge of your fork and won't pull out....this is not an improvement.

Any suggestions what to do? Mine is stuck. Didn’t know whether to tap it gently with a hammer.
