Very nice video, thank you for that. I was so frustrated that I have just bought my brand new Scala and I had absolutely no idea what skoda connect was. Just annoying advertisements and bullshits everywhere but nothing useful. You drive your vrs quite slowly anyway.... :)

Hi Michael, great choice. I’ve had this 1 year now, done 31,000 miles and it’s been perfect day to day. However I’ve had a few software / electronic issues during the time of owning but nothing major which hasn’t been sorted or in the process of!

It’s ok but wouldn’t class it as a premium sound system. I’ve been in Audis and Mercedes that do a lot better as standard 👍

Yes mine did (1 year old), before I bought it I asked for it to be serviced and switched to fixed schedule as the vrs should be serviced every year or 10k miles, whichever comes sooner.

Can you actually pre heat the interior from the app on a petrol/diesel version of the vrs, or only in the hybrid?

Hi Ritchie not so sure believe you can on the hybrid though

If you have auxiliary heating, then yes. Clima works only on plug in hybrids.

I have a 2020 octavia mk4, can't use Connect, because the car won't let me login any users, always says "Your Settings could not be loaded" (it says that in German, i'm from Austria), Went to the Skoda Dealer and they updated the Software to 1941, still the same issue. They also don't know whats the cause of this. Any ideas what could cause this problem?

So, in plain language, the app is of no use if the vehicle is not electric or hybrid. I'm happy to drive an electric Skoda, the app (heating and cooling rules, chargig rules) makes total sense. Absolutely pointless with a combustion engine. haha fail!
