How To Use the Super Easy Machine Needle Inserter & Threader

We are so excited to now offer the Super Easy Machine Needle Threader for your Singer Featherweight 221 or 222 sewing machine. This will work on ALL household sewing machines, too, but we are partial to our Featherweights, aren't we?!
As an added bonus, it not only is helpful as a needle threader, but it easily inserts the needle, too! Truly, this gadget is fantastic!
Needle insertion may vary with machine model, depending on the machine requirement for the flat side of the needle. Be sure to turn the tool as needed for correct needle insertion. (i.e. The flat side of the needle faces LEFT on a Singer Featherweight, but on newer machine models the flat side of the needle usually faces towards the back.)

YESSS! I did it! I have a Singer Starter (I think it's called?) so my needle has the hole facing me, but this little thing got the tread in the needle much easier than if I was to tread it the usual way! could NOT have done it without this video, tho :) thank you!

Absolutely great tutorial. It took me several times but I got it. YEA!!!! I bought this and on sight because of what it can do. I wasn't going to stop saying but became used to it taking a long time to thread my machine. The words really help because I watched another video and it was NOT helpful at all.

I’ve bought 2 of those. Neither works well. When I pull it back it pulls the thread out too. It’s like the metal insert part that goes through the eye is rough and catches the thread. I bought some of those really cheap wire threaders and I find they work well.

Very good video. One small question. When inserting a replacement needle.....flat side to the "left". OK....your left or my left from my POV front side looking back? Maybe I've been doing this wrong. I have a Brother.

Just bought one of these and the little post that pushes the thread through the needle eye doesn't pick up the thread, it just slides straight through and leaves the thread behind every time, gone back to using the coin shaped threader with a wire attached.

Ummm but my Singer 27 instructions has the needle threaded from left to right. Right to left has the thread wrapped around the needle. It doesn't look correct.

Hi- I just recently found out about this amazing device but on watching vids on the use of this product I'm concerned it won't work with my Brother machine that I recently bought. The needle hole is so tiny I can' harldy see it with a magnifier! The post that comes out to slide the thread in looks so big on your tutorial! My machine has an automatic ndle threader but I can't make it work (others can't either so thread manually. I don't even have poor eyesight & can't even do that!) I'm a beginner sewer....as in haven't even sewn yet & am frustrated & disappointed. Thanx for this though...looks easy peasy but would hate to have to return the threader....sigh

It sounds like a larger needle would help. The hole size is easier to work with in a size 14 needle. Try that and see if it helps with needle-threading. ;) Thanks for commenting!

Just try a standard 80/12 or 90/14 needle.

Any machine will take a wide range of needle sizes. You need to match the needle size and type to the fabric you are sewing. You'll find plenty into on this if you google it.

On my Brother sewing machine the thread is inserted through the needle eye from front to back, not from side to side as shown in the video.

Most vintage sewing machines are threaded from left to right...Most modern machines are threaded from front to back.

That is incorrect. On a Featherweight the needle positively has the flat side to the left. It won't stitch any other way. If your machine requires the flat side a different direction, then the model you have is not a Featherweight.

We were doing this from the right to the left, which is how a Singer Featherweight is threaded. It can also be used on a new machine which threads from the front, however.
