I’m self-taught, so it’s been a little hard for me to learn pieces, but your tutorials are so clear and helpful that i’ve been able to learn many pieces!

Nice video! I got one of the plastic pedals that you showed at the beginning of the video with my keyboard! haha! I am now looking to buy a decent pedal. I have the Casio Px S3100 - do you think that one pedal is enough? I am a 59 year old beginner at piano (I have many years of experience reading music and playing the organ) following you everyday - you are truly the best teacher on KZbin. Thanks again!

For me basicly Clutch, brake, Throttle! But hey now i know how to use them properly and well the heel method is very familiar for me, becouse of racing, and well you have to be very soft on car pedals ro push it to the limits so somehow it translates to piano aswell. Good tutorial really helpfull! 🤗

I agree, the small plastic square pedal is not good, I had one that came with my keyboard and it would squeak and move around too much. Now i have one like the one you recommended and it’s a lot better. Also thanks for the video very informative 👍

Francesca, I've recently bought a new stool my for piano but now I've started to get back pain which I didn't get with my old, uncomfortable one. Could it be that my stool is too high or too low? My back seems pretty straight but I might be over compensate though... Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the demo. Just a question: I heard that the delayed pedal is lifted&down after first note press(and before the note is lifted) in the new chord/melody bar. While your demo seems pedal simultaneous with first note/chord... Is there any difference between these 2 techniques? Will the 'after' way make first note more clear at same time keep legato effect? Thanks.
@BitesizePiano Жыл бұрын
I do press the note/chord first…The quicker the pedal is refreshed, the clearer/less overlap there will be.
@chenxiongjie Жыл бұрын
@@BitesizePiano Thanks for the clarification - from the video it was hard to know if it was note/chord first or simultaneous. Btw, 10:10 it was Le Onde from Ludovico Einaudi which I like also :)
@PrateekSaxena174 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this video! I'd been considering getting a pedal for a while, but now I am sure. I was thinking of getting the 'square shaped' (0:45) one instead of the 'pedal looking' (0:43) one cause it'd take up less space. Is there a difference in quality between those two? Or are they completely different things?
@BitesizePiano4 жыл бұрын
There's a massive difference - get the bigger one! They feel so much better and are more sturdy. Don't get the square one!

Anyone else just feel like the sustain pedal always came natural to them? I never really 'learned' it, but I never have any difficulties with it. When learning a song the sustain pedal isn't a part that takes multiple tries to get right, must be more people that experienced that :0 you just feel whenever you have to release and hold it again!
