Might have to invest in this. Currently running Easton 5mm fmj match grades but have a few other arrows I want to test with. This may help that

I need to update the video but to test if the vane seats well, you can apply lip stick where the glue would go and apply. This will show you if it seated properly. Great jig. Especially when most right handed bows prefer a left offset.

Probably a stupid question. What is the difference between a offset and a helical?? I just purchased this jig.
@Shootingtimearchery5 жыл бұрын
Same difference I believe. I’ve always thought of offset maintaining a straight profile and a helical having a more pronounced curve. I’d say 1-2 degrees would be considered an offset and 3+ degrees may be called helicals. I could be wrong.

I just got a vane master pro really nice PRECISION machine it blows my Bitzenburger away really nice on micro diameter shafts
@Shootingtimearchery5 жыл бұрын
Raymond jones good deal. I’m thinking about doing some nano pros myself here in a few days. Did you find any difficulty in setting the wires?
@raymondjones18665 жыл бұрын
@@Shootingtimearchery I had no problem setting the wires on a Axis 5mm 340 with a 3° right helical with Blazers I was limited with vane base contact with the Bitzenburger due to the clamp bottoming out on the magnet this new jig is awesome with less Loctite superglue gel control on the base those wires seat it nice.

I was going to go with a Bitze but I came across this and now I’m going back and forth trying to make my final decision.

Its a very versatile fletching jig for sure... just tough to master. Some pros out there use the firenock jig (cheapest model) and then use bitz clamps to achieve the different offsets. I use the firenock jig if im only doing a 1 to 2 degree offset and its tough to beat. Once I master the vanemasterpro it might be a tougher decision.

Great video! Are the new alpha nocks a problem using crossbow arrows?

curious if you ever got an answer? I'm looking to get this for making arrows for my Ravin. Thanks

Did you put real light/light amount of Lithium Grease of Van Clamp Slide Pins?

I haven't but see how they hang up. Probably a good idea.

What type of nozzle.was on the glue bottle?
@Shootingtimearchery3 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure its the Firenock aerovane glue. Comes with a great needle nozzle applicator.

So you just set the thing to the 3 setting and it gets you a 3 degree helical?
@Shootingtimearchery4 жыл бұрын
Nate Wolfe yes.
@guitarwilly814 жыл бұрын
@@Shootingtimearchery thanks. I see you can also change the angle of the wires themselves. Why would one do this?
@Shootingtimearchery4 жыл бұрын
Nate Wolfe to seat the vane properly. Arrow diameters differ so the angle of the wires must be customized to seat the vane.

Didn't stay anything about the indexing knob. Important that it clicks in every-time when you turn it. Also the spacing between Nock and Fletch spacing and Indexing for exact placement. You did say something but not a visual in video build. Great video otherwise
