Hi there,, Actually I saw a video at Arizona EZ fletch site (or somewhere) that instructed how to make 4 fletch arrows. You can stick your nock in and twist it and put 1 fletch at the time until 4 is done.
@NPC-fl3gq3 жыл бұрын
Lots of helical is great at close range or with a heavy arrow, but there IS a point at which it will cause pinwheeling due to over-rotation energy becoming too dominant as velocity slows. This effect becomes super obvious when you shoot recurve with feathers, so I always design an arrow for a specific purpose (I'm sure you do too).

Whats your experience shooting helical into the wind? Does it affect the arrow flight compared to shooting it with no breeze at all? I just have a straight clamp and run an offset.

My Friend JJ! Do you sell the Zenith Bitzenburger Upgrade Kit? I could not find it on the website. The Bitz is well priced at 90$, and with 99$ shipping that’s a great deal! Also-does Arizona E-Z Fletch make a left and/or right helical for larger (target) shafts? If so-do you sell them? Thanks for the help!

Hey Josh, do they make screw in arrow insert for broad heads that are left hand thread direction? To accommodate for left helical arrows.. That would be the " cats ass.."

Any idea why mine don't close equally on the mini max? I've tried 2 different jigs and when I go to close the clamp there's always the same 2 vanes that are closer apart than the other. I'm mechanically inclined but I'm having a hard time and I'm totally new to archery too so go easy on me lol.

Can to much helical cause your arrow to parachute? Or become inconsistent?
@Eric-bh7jy2 жыл бұрын
Yes. I have the AZ easy fletch and it’s awesome out to 60 yards. After that grouping is much more difficult. Maybe it’s me as the shooter, but if I shoot 80-100 yds you can see arrows parachute

So courious. My bow shoots 300 fps and it is shooting bullet holes. I am using the 300 spine victory rip arrows. With fixed broadheads my arrows drop about 6". I was just courious if my bow is shooting too fast for fixed blades and should I turn it down to 60lbs so it shoots slower. My arrows are 470grns. Just courious on your thoughts

Is the MiniMax Left specifically the one to go for over lets say the pro? I noticed they have a decent amount of options on their website and I always suffer from overchoice haha.

I have been wanting to do my own fletchings and as you mentioned in your video I checked my arrows rotation and it does rotate to the left. It’s almost impossible to find an Arizona jig with a left helical. I have seen plenty online for right helical, would you recommend buying a right helical jig?
@RockyMountainWest13 Жыл бұрын
What I did is I bought the right helical jig and then separately bought just the left helical arms

What size vanes is MFJJ using? Just picked up an Arizona Carbon EZ Fletch and I'm not getting as much "helical" twist to them. Only using 2" vanes though and can't really tell if his are 4".
@michaelswenson83993 жыл бұрын
You can only get so much helical on a blazer style vane. The helical gets significantly more pronounced on a longer vane. 2” high profile vanes offer inherent stability because of their profile, but you will have to experiment if a lower profile longer vane with hard helical is equal/better/worse for your setup. You may have to use 4 low profile to achieve the same stability as 3 blazers.

Not running any wraps? Do you have a trick for scraping off vanes w/out scratching carbon? Or just never change vanes? Thx.
@NPC-fl3gq3 жыл бұрын
Try using a sharp blade to carefully lift each end of the vane, and then wedge the blade between the vane and shaft and give the blade a twist (while pulling up on the vane) to lever the vane off. If its stuck really good you might wanna try running the very tip of a razor blade down either side of the vane to partially lift the vane off before you try the first technique I mentioned - what I mean is, try this technique to "break the seal" along the edge/length of the vane where it meets the shaft. Practice makes perfect, so constantly re-fletch your crappy arrows (try different vanes while you're at it - you'll learn a lot by doing that).

Will the primer pen work with anyone's vane and make them adhere better? Never used a primer pen with my blazers and don't have many failure to stick problems.
@joshjones68623 жыл бұрын
We use them when we do blazers. It does help
@Arrowslinger1233 жыл бұрын
Primer pen is only necessary for vanes with a urethane base. You don’t have to use them for blazers but you can just not necessary. However vanes like aae max stealth tac etc you need them. Aae hybrids I’m pretty sure tells you NOT to prime them. Hope this helps

So.figured out why you need the mini to get the strong helical. I have the pro which, explains why I don't get the strong helical as it's designed for 4-5" vanes. The mini is for shorter vanes.
