Yes, it is advisable that you do custom installations. In any program.

Jesus Christ man, those comments of viruses scared the shit out of me because I read them AFTER I installed. I only came for the installation link, so long heart attack in panic running around my room short; the viruses included in installation were removed months ago. Also, whenever I try to export and save a video as an avi or wmv it never appears on the location I save it in. Ive tried wmv and avi multiple times and it JUST DOESNT SAVE. How do I actually save???

I once used avidemux for video editing but I'm now using a different laptop with Windows 10 and I've not been able to find a safe website to download it again.

Hi there. thanks for this tutorial. It really helped I have a question about the quality of the output. it seems that VSDC diminishes the Output quality. I worked with a 720p scene file and when I try to increase Output falues to 720 is just reduces the dimensions of the output file and theres a black border around my video. How do I remedy this? Thanks for your response. PS: Im Exporting in AVI Highest Quality

Where you're on the export screen, under "profile", select "H264/AVC" and "High Quality" It will take a lot longer to render compared to the standard Xvid compression, but will result in significantly higher quality. Also ensure that if you shoot the video with 1280x720p, render+upload at 1280x720p with no downsizing.

Dunno if you are still interested, but you should include the music at the end because when cutting the video, the music gets also cutted! Hope you understood;)

When I set my video to the same size as the parent, it has a black border on the top and bottom that I can't seem to crop out.. It's like it grows with the video, I assume I set a wrong project size (I copied yours to be safe) what do you think? Thanks in advance for this tutorial!

I just started using this software and am finding it to be maddeningly unintuitive. I'm trying to cut the opening scene from a video but no matter what I do, it flashes the first half-second of the original video. When I got clipping, it doesn't show this first half-second, but when I play the clipped video, it shows up again. I checked again: cut area starts at 00:00:00:000, yet it still leaves the very beginning on the cut video.
