Actually Pirates were really strong about honor. Thats why they warned other Ships about their intentions by raising their Flags for example. Or had practically the first form of work insurance plans like when you lost an arm or an eye you got a bigger share of the profits etc. They also didnt sink ships and kill people for fun ...because ships were expensive and people too!

Talk creates notriousity, wich creat's fear, wich gives more plunder. So, alot of pirates werd not crazy, just knew how to seem crazy, but for benefits.

Well this was funny idea, but i say Burning Blade event works the same way. few days ago, i was defending the waves and doing world event, and when burning blade finall wave was on, i got invaded by servant champion, he was unlucky because he went directly towards broadside Burning Blade, got hits, i luckly demasted him and below 5 mins, i accidentally used world event to sink the champion. Funny moment i had in the seas :D

@@ToxieSinclaire But knowing how to counter it, how long did it actually inconvenience you? That's the whole point, you have a ton of fun with it both on your side and against you because others don't know all about it. You can just let it hammer your opponent for you while you hide because they don't know how to stop it, and you can end it before it becomes a problem because you do know how to stop it. Knowledge meta's is why this game is dying, players in the know guarding their secrets closely and using them to absolutely stonewall others is why players aren't sticking around and the game has such a horrible reputation for new potential buyers. Another KZbinr has made a video in which they say that PVP is the "end game content" of SoT, only end game players aren't doing PVP in the intended PVP way, they are PVPing against players that aren't even close to that point yet. Hell, most haven't even really gotten started yet and are being bulldozed by 5-year veterans on their first days. These players don't know anything about the game, so haven't the slightest idea as to how these meta's even work let alone how to attempt to counter them. Like in your video, that crew just parked up and were just going to sit there for as long as it took for you to get bored. You had to tell them how to shut down your meta for them to actually start trying again. This is quickly becoming the norm of the game, if they don't want to fight fair and square, then I will just waste multiple hours of their time so they get nothing out of it. Dumping loot so it despawns, running around the whole map to eventually scuttle the ship so they don't get the sink, playing copyrighted music on open mic, or even not fighting back at all and even demanding that you just kill them and take everything.

I mean, If sailing in the red sea during the shores of gold can get patched for hourglass this might also get patched by Rare. Sailing inside the pearl is practically the same as using immortal ship hacks (at least until Davy Jones sinks).

@@ToxieSinclaire True, I watched the whole video, very entertaining. But still its a decent advantage that you got to experience yourself. Kinda like having an organic alliance and voting up hourglass, or camping at a sea fort, you nearly have complete control of the fight as long as you sail carefully. Its way less op than an alliance though since you have bots on your team instead of real people (which if its an organic alliance not alliance server I don't see a huge problem with it if we are considering this a viable option too). Not saying I didn't like the video, very very entertaining, I just think this tactic might be used very often in the near future for PvP considering how successful it was. I apologize if my comment sounded salty, I was probably wrong to say people should be banned for this, but I think if Rare doesn't want this in strategy in the game and they want "fair PvP fights" (honestly with the cheating situation this is technically fair) they should be the ones to patch it or something, and buy anti-cheat. Otherwise I will definitely use this tactic for PvP, the absolute amount of resources you get from the ghost ships alone is already enough to convince me this is a good stragety. My pereference is to fight people on a fair battle field, but who knows maybe I will beat people using this strategy and become really good at hourglass.

For anyone saying this is an exploit it’s literally not. The invading crew can do and use the same tactics as the ones who started the tall tale, if u sink the Dutchman and they use the black pearl u can just kill the ones on it and it will despawn, And once that happens u will have a normal fight. If anything this is just an obstacle for both sides Plus whoever uses this method has to wait for awhile to get invaded so its still faster to just dive
