How to use Todoist with Notion for Task Management

This was absolutely outstanding! I am so glad I found this channel. I see why they call it The Notion Pro. Thank you! This integration tutorial is very useful (but you already know that , even to a point that I cannot yet completely comprehend). I was taking the approach of picking one over the other to simplify the decluttering of the system. But, if the input is automatically duplicated, then it makes sense to use both since that would take care of %50 of the work. I am new to Notion but I have noticed that users like Notion for shared projects.

I am trying to get this setup the same way. I use ToDoist with Alexa to add tasks. I can get the Zap to work in terms of getting the trigger from ToDoist and adding the new item to Tasks in Notion - but I see no references to Area or Project for the tasks to be added to in Notion. It just adds the new database entry under Tasks as No Project. Do you know why this is the case? I am using the free license level of Zapier. Does that have anything to do with it? When I open a task item in Notion, I also don't see Areas in the list of attributes for the task. Did Notion kill this, or is the again something in a paid version (I'm using the free tier). Thanks!

Will free version of Zapier works. I think 100 task per month are much less. Did I require this 19 dollar per month package for Zapier.

Really interesting, I do like the simplicity of Todoist and have been testing this, unfortunately I cant see a way to filter what tasks are zapped through. I structured a weekly review in Todoist with subtasks and then had about 30 tasks fly through to Notion 😊 which wasnt ideal. Takes a lot of testing to figure out what tools work for best scenarios. I do like Notion, but just wish it was a lot quicker to capture things! (Especially on Android)

Sorry cancel that I can see now that triggering by project is the best way. It also worked fine when dragging from the inbox to a project to detect as a new item which was great!

@@digilocker Indeed, filtering by project (I like to filter by priority to see what is most important everyday).

One cool thing I found is to enter Todoist in web and copy the link, then in Notion use /embed and paste the link, after that connect your account and it will work awesome, I found that in the Web and Phone is easier to connect compared to the windows app, but after I went into Todoist settings and change my password (I was connect with google and the password I put was the same) everything worked well

I don't trust Zapier and similar tools very much in terms of reliability. You can see it in the video, it can take forever until the data is transferred. I prefer to do it manually and transfer tasks to Notion and then mark them as done in Todoist so I don't have them twice.
