Appreciate the video as usual but much too little of the actual sound demonstration!

Do you have any links to a compression tutorial? It’s hard to find one that’s succinct; and to be honest I have no way of knowing if the streamer knows compression well in the first place. Most of the official looking tutorials I’ve found are automated plugin specific or assume a high baseline level of knowledge on the subject.

Sonic Academy has some an 'Understanding compression' series which is multiple chapters covering everything you'd want to know from the basics and up. These 'how to' videos are specifically walkthroughs for plugins. Presswerk for example can be pretty complex so no room for starting with the basics of compression. Try this out... www.sonicacademy.com/courses/understanding-compressors/understanding-compressors-introduction?autoplay=1

Compression is basic... Is even visual if you want to look at it like that... The best tutorial is activating the lower left corner button on ableton and putting the cursor over every knib and button you see, so it says what it does in that corner little window

Slate academy is giving away free 90 days pass and they have a compression masterclass which is really good. Google slate academy 90 day pass

@@frequency_sequencer Hey TYVM for telling me. Producertech was giving away 3 free months (may end on july 21st tho idk what that means, ie if you need to be signed up before then or thats the end of the 3 months). Much appreciated I'll sign up! Always looking for tutorial resources.

Lol, good to know... will keep it in mind, one of those things I've always pronounced one way and now its super hard to get out of my head.

Given it’s a German company, I’d imagine the correct pronunciation would be how the founder Urs Heckmann-see what he did there lol-pronounces it in English: “ooo-heh”, soft u and soft h.

It's "you-hee" i.e. what Artur wrote.

this guy is just simply reading to the manual Isn't helpful at all

do you even understand the overall structure of this compressor? Really unconfidential and reading the scripts like kids using the exact same words and sentences in manual
