How to use Voicemeeter Insert Virtual ASIO in Ableton Live (no physical interface required)

Literally the most helpful tutorial for streaming Ableton AND sending Ableton to other apps as well at the same time. I quit streaming last year because I was having headaches from using weird and complicated ways to stream a Ableton, and on top of that I couldn't send the Ableton audio to something like Discord. Might go back to streaming soon thanks to this. Thank you seriously!

THIS IS THE MOST STRAIGHT TO THE POINT AND CLEAR TUTORIAL FOR THIS, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I was having a problem trying to figure how to not hear my mic sound, and now you're not only showing the option for this, but also sending the desktop audio to ableton live too so I can record it. Seriously you deserve the world for this, other tutorials are just too complicated or dont explain the voicemeter part so much, or are just not as complete as this one.

When setting my Adui Devide in ableton to "voicemeeter insert virtual asio" I stop hearing any sound of ableton. How do I fix this?

when i monitor my mic thrugh voice meter on the virtual output aux on a2 it sounds all robotic bu t when i go to windows and listen to the aux it sounds fine? any fix?

Hmm... So after opening Ableton and switching to Voicemeeter Insert Virtual ASIO, all audio becomes glitchy. When I close Ableton it immediately clears up. Any ideas? If I increase the sample rate of my interface to 192khz the problem goes away... But thats very demanding on the computer

i did this and it works when routing th emic to ableton but in order to be able to hear other things on my computer like the same music coming from ableton i have to change the audio device from insert to any of the others, meaning its useless if i cant hear the music in order to sing. Im not sure if i have anything routed wrongly.

Idk if you figured it out by now, but if not you have to make sure of these things: - set the Voicemeeter audio devices as default like at ( 0:34 ) - set the inputs and outputs correctly in both Voicemeeter ( 1:37 ) and Ableton ( 2:02 ) - in Ableton, set desktop track on 7/8 input and 7/8 output ( 3:26 ) and then in order to hear the 7/8 output you have to enable the A1 button (or whatever A button you assigned to your headphones) on the Voicemeeter VAIO section ( the one shown at 4:08 ) ------> this basically tells Voicemeeter to send the 7/8 output directly to your headphones. I tried many other ways to stream Ableton and this video shows the easiest and cleanest way to do it IMO, I recommend you to try to make it work before looking for other methods. Hope this helps.

Hi, great video, I also saw this setup to play live with Live, only problem for me, what if I want to sing with effects but withouth monitor? With this setup, I think it is imposible, as Ableton goes out with only a stereo pair.

Not works, audio goes only to output 1/2 it is impossible to recieve it in ableton 7/8

Sadly this is of no use for me. Since you did not explain anything, I am as smart as before, using Voicemeeter Potatoe. Don't take it too hard, but I am sorry about the wasted time trying out your advice.
