Question: I want to make my ringtone someone screaming but when I go to put the audio in garage band it doesn’t have the music on it (the weird lines that are different heights) is what to call them. For anybody with the loop not showing up problem I found a fix, you will lose all data in it though, you want to go to Settings, General, IPhone Storage, go to Garage Band and Delete App, removing the app on the home screen will just remove its size of the app, then reinstall garage band and it should be fixed! Hope this helped

Garageband has changed a little bit since you did this great tutorial. Just managed to get an audio clip to garageband and want to make a ringtone for my ios phone. It's a bit comlicated to see the logic on doing this. I like and use garageband for just mixing for fun. It works really well, and has so many smaples that excellent it is enjoyable. Thanks for the tutorial.

i did this and it all worked swell, until it got to actually putting the mp3 into the song. it allows me to add the mp3 to my list of loop files, but when i try to add them to the song itself, they are gray’d out.

Depends on how they are encoded and the bitrate. Any standard uncompressed WAV file 24-bit or less will work fine, and others can be converted using AudioShare

This might be too late but same thing happened to me but i figured out how to fix it. After you get your mp3 file, i converted it to a wav file on an mp3 to wav website. it can work with any type of file that garage band accepts

Have you watched the video? Usually this is because of incompatible bitrate or sample rate so you might need to convert it.
