Great Tutorial dude, keep going! As a beginner i could follow the hole time, the only thing i diden`t understand is the Resistor. How did you know or what did tell you that there needs to be a resistor?
@Delali Жыл бұрын
Glad it was helpful! In electronics, its a general idea to try to limit sudden rise or fall of current. Seeing that each digital pin of an Arduino is capable of 40mA max, we dont want that 40mA max to flow to the LED strip, it might damage it, so i added a small resistance to keep things steady. Also if there's a sudden high demand of current somehow from the LED strip, the resistor will protect the Arduino from maxing out its 40mA limit. I hope this helps. Cheers!!🍻 Please dont forget to subscribe.

Nice Video! How do u connect the jumpers to the old USB?
@Delali Жыл бұрын
I used an old usb cable. I cut the usb cable in half and connected the + and - of the cut end to the LED strip. Let me know if you need any further explanations. Kindly look at the video again in case you missed something. Cheers!!

Bro I bought ws 2812 instead ws2812b ...can I use it with program written for ws 2812b
@DelaliАй бұрын
Yes, it should work for ws2811 ws2812 ws2812b ws2813 ws2815 sk6812 sk9822. Also make sure to change the code to match the LED type and digital pin you're using as i did in the video at 4:31

You don't need to hook up the power on the led wire? Why is it there if you're just hooking up the ground and signal?
@Delali Жыл бұрын
You have to hook up the power, but not to the arduino, rather to separate power source as the arduino cannot supply the current needed by the LEDs

Can the resistor be higher? because I only have 220ohm and 1k ohm set. I have around 144LED per meter
@Delali4 жыл бұрын
The 220 Ohm should work fine as well.

Sir, what if I want to insert blynk connection to this by using my blynk iot, will it still work? How should i include blynk codings to the color palette?

Please why a 480 ohm resistor?
@Delali4 жыл бұрын
470 Ohm, it serves as a current limiter to protect the ws2812b chips. hope this helps.

Your Ledstrip is 12V? Mine is 5V, i use resistor?
@Delali3 жыл бұрын
Mine is 5v too. not 12V. And yes you have to use a resistor in-between the Arduino and led driver IC
@PedroSantos-lc4xe3 жыл бұрын
@@Delali Mine consumes 18W for metter (60leds) if i use only 30leds i dont need resistor? The Arduino works at 2A i guess, and i powering the arduino with 9V
@Delali3 жыл бұрын
@@PedroSantos-lc4xe you'd still need the resistor for the data line. The length/power draw of your led strip doesn't matter. The data in line must have the 470 Ohms resistor. Also even though you might power your Arduino from 9v it wont be able to supply the current needed for the 18W led strip. Just power your led from a direct 5v source and make sure to connect the ground of your external power source with the of the Arduino.

Yes it does.

Why connect register ?
@DelaliАй бұрын
come again? do you mean resistor? I connected it to serve as a current limiter and also protect the arduino digital pin from possible overcurrent draw by the LED strip.
