How to use Xano with Bubble and why you would want to

Sounds great separate frontend of backend... Could I connect my SQL SERVER database with XANO? AND use SQL SERVER-XANO and WEBFLOW?

Definitely what I am most intrigued about is having multiple front ends and just one backend, does this apply to link the same database to a bubble web app and a flutterflow native app?

From what I know, any front end platform which uses API to connect with data. So, basically all of them. It will depend on your use case. For mobile apps, Adalo makes it simple, but too simple and limited for someone who's got some experience. Although Adalo has more limitations than the others, it is a great place to start if you are a novice. For web apps, forget it. Bubble is hands down the best front end platform.

After migrating data from Bubble to Xano, which more common practice between maintaining table on both platform or only on Xano?

Most commonly, you would only maintain data on the Xano side. There are definitely some cases where adopting a hybrid approach requires both though -- a lot of nuance here.

@@nocodebackend I see, thank you for the response! It seems a bit hassle to utilize data relation between tables in xano and bubble. Do we usually maintain relations using unique id as a key? Is there any tips for that?

If xano takes care of all the backend part of an application then why to pair it with another backend like bubble instead of going for a good frontend tool like webflow....in that way we can build an app that will have both amazing frontend and backend...isn't it??

Xano pairs with Webflow too. We serve a large audience that has different preferences when it comes to the front-end. Many users like to utilize Bubble for it's front-end capabilities. But we have users that use all different front-end tools and frameworks with Xano

Hi, Endre! Great question. Connecting Xano does not require you to use Bubble's own database of things at all, but I understand you are still concerned about logging that Bubble performs. While I don't want to speak on Bubble's behalf, I can say that using the API connector is a non-starter when exploring compliance concerns in general because Bubble proxies these API calls. We find our users utilizing the Xano connector plugin (go.xano.co/xbc) or the Xano JS SDK (go.xano.co/sdk) instead to avoid Bubble's own interception of these calls.

@@nocodebackend thank you for your reply! We are converting our business to Xano after a lot of research, it seems like the best platform out there! I have one concern though, as I see you are defaulting to sendgrid as Mail provider. I have reached up to them, but they just say they are gdpr compliant (nothing about me/we as a processor for our EU data controllers). Any thoughts?

@@endrefyl Hi Endre, Sengrid is just one of the inbuilt extensions that we have in Xano - but as you are able to connect with any service that has an API this means that you are able to use many different email delivery providers, so you can select one that suits your compliance & functionality needs.

Thank you for the video. I make the task to repeat it every 12 hours but instead of bringing to Xano only the new records, it copies every records again, son instead of having 5 old records plus 1 new record, I have 16 records, 5*3=15, plus 1 new record in te lar task. How can I have the exact copy of bubble DB in Xano DB?

Hi there, in order to setup this kind of functionality you will need to make sure you are using an ADD or EDIT record step within your function. At the top of the add or edit record function you are able to select what identifier you'd like to match your records with. I'd suggest using the bubble unique identifier as the value, this way when you are running the sync, it will find the appropriate record in your table and update it instead of adding a new record. If there are any new records these will also be added.
