i work in music and do a lot of work with the mouse in combination with modifier keys. for example click and drag + shift + alt, is one example that is a common use for me. is it possible to do this on the bastard keyboards? all the best

The shift, alt, and other modifier buttons are on the keymap - either on the 6th column or on homerow mods (on 3x5 keyboards). You can press them at the same time as the mouse button, the keymap is made that way. You can check out the default keymaps here: docs.bastardkb.com/fw/default-keymaps.html

i would love to have a bastard if only the trackpad had features like the steam controller. niche i know but the steam controller had a dpad click under the trackpad plus a outer ring sensor so you could scroll as well, it opened up opportunities for chords without sacrificing other actions. personally id love to have a trackpad on the left and a track ball on the right for mouse and scroll respectively while also being able to have a dpad instead of a button cluster that large, and a palm rest would be amazing for me since thats what im used to

Hello, We do have shortcuts for scrolling (and anything you'd like to customize, if you feel like digging into QMK). There's also a feature where you can make circles on the outer part of the trackpad to scroll. On the shop we only offer trackpad on the right, but the PCB is designed to accomodate one on the left as well - you'll need to reverse the trackpad holder 3d files and make a custom QMK firmware.

im nowhere near smart enough to do firmware things but i might be able to edit the model and change up the pcb a bit so the thumb ball is a bit less central and just get them ordered online. but thats a long shot, so ill keep admiring from afar till a redux is done that fits me more

if you don't mind sharing, what layer height and nozzle diameter you use in your printers? I saw you were using prusas some years ago. Your prints look extremely clean!

Hi ! On our FDM prints we use 0.15mm layer height, 0.4mm nozzle. Prusament galaxy black, still using MK3s on default quality profile. We have a MK4 on the way though... On our premium parts, we use Nylon prints from JLC

Does the track pad support multi touch? Would be cool to have it work with the windows precision touchpad gestures.

This is a trackpad from cirque, it does not support multitouch gestures unfortunately

At the moment I don't offer trackballs on the flat dilemma keyboards. If you want a trackpad on a charybdis nano, there is a mod that allows that on the github repository, though it will take a lot of tinkering

Hey ! On the Charybdis you will need to modify the 3d files, and bodge wire the screen. On the Dilemma and Dilemma MAX there are already headers there specifically for OLED connection, you will need to make your own firmware though.

@@thedog5k Not sure what you mean by turbo, but yes you could get away with copy pasting some stuff, OLEDS in QMK are not that complicated. You'll need to have a local working QMK install though, and figure out which pins to use (the PCBs are open sourced)

Can the dilemma work wirelessly for portability?

Hey ! Everything is factory assembled on it, so it'd require basically a redesign from the ground up. Take a look at the dilemma v1 if 34 keys and manufacturing your own PCBs don't scare you, it can work with nice!nano
