can you expand on why you chose 60 minutes over automatic for the TTL setting?

A CNAME TTL of 60 minutes (3600 seconds) means that the authoritative DNS servers' information will be cached by DNS resolvers for 60 minutes. A longer TTL means that the authoritative servers serve fewer queries, which reduces load on the servers. It also means that if the authoritative DNS servers experience an outage, the DNS resolution won't be affected because the records are cached on the resolvers. This improves the user's website browsing experience.

I know this is a one years old comment but just wanted to say that I didn't even buy SSL certificate I expected non HTTPS website while my website is HTTPS. I'm hosting in the same way as yours with Github Page.
