Most all of us use some type of day planner or pocket calendar to keep track of our day to day activities. Here is a way to use your day planner to grow spiritually....

Dear Sherry you are so Special! This truly is a wonderful video. As my Best Freind passed away in 2003 my husband gave me a Diary to write all my thoughts down when I was thinking if my Best Freind Esther, she was a lot older than I was, so she took the place of a Mother and sister which I never had. So as I was mourning I wrote down all the nice things we did together, like travelling or just sitting at a river and listning to the birds and being in the nature etc. And then My Husband died in 2008 and I kept up writing and now, when I go back an read my Diarys from all those years. I noticed it helped me to deal with loosing my two best freinds! I know they are doing well and we will see each other again. I still try to write down at least two three sentences per day eventhough I have so much pain. But writing everything down and to be able to see what we have done or maybe helped someone years later is really very helpfull at times. I was thinking about stoping to write in my diary, but know I will keep on. May GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES. HAVE A BLESSED DAY! YOU BRIGHTEN UP MY DAY! LOVE YOU!♥♡♥♡♥♡

How precious Larisa....I can only imagine the beauty in your words and the memories those diaries hold. What a great tribute to your loved ones! Despite your pain, I am so very thankful that you continue to write a couple sentences down. That is a blessing and an encouragement. Love to you friend...and may the Lord bless you abundantly!

Thank you, Sherry. Although there's not enough going on in my life to warrant a daily planner, I am reminded of when my sister died how the one thing we wished we could have had of all her belongings was her Bible. So, in that vein, I continue to do my daily journaling with Scriptures, and prayers, and comments on the weather, and world events and personal activities. All the minutia of what comprises my daily life. Maybe when I'm gone these notes will help someone know who I was. God bless you, sister, and continue to increase His anointing on you. (:

I don't keep a detailed daily planner any more either, Stef. My kids are grown and my days are a bit more simple..and more manageable. But I do keep a calendar book in my desk..and a small one in my purse. I make little notes in there, as you do. Thank you for watching ...and for being my friend!

I love the sharing of your uplifting, wise ideas... the 'word of the day' for Scripture writing for that day is just AWESOME! Daily Planner... like a diary, noting heartfelt thoughts to look back over after a time, is also another great idea! THANK YOU, Sherry.

Thank you so much Sherry for your kinds words. I forgot to tell you that I have a diary that my dad wrote from 1951 when I was born. He wrote everything about me in there. How I was born weight, height first words first time walking etc. This he did till I was six years old. That is so nice to read even 65 years later. I always try hard to fill my mind with good things,I read in the Bible! Watch Christian movies and listen to Christian Music. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES. I TRUST IN THE POWER OF THE LORD! HAVE A BLESSED DAY!♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♥

Thank you so much for sharing.. it actually brought tears to my eyes. Because your analogy opened my eyes to how much more I need to focus on Jesus. I was also looking for a way to add Him more in my daily routine and the planner is a perfect way to do that. I would go to the store and see them and think about how much I would love to have one but I didnt necessarily have much use for one. Now I do!!! Thank you so much. I would love to hear you give daily devotionals. You have such a sweetness about you. I enjoy all of your vlogs. God Bless.

another great idea and way to get into the Word...and one I will implement. I found the cutest little planner for this year...it's a little coloring book and its called, "Color the Psalms.", by Michael Sparks. This idea will be a perfect addition to this 2017 planner! God has really placed you in my life for a special reason. It seems everything you say, every story you tell, I just want to say, "Yes! YES! that is me! that's what I've been searching for!"... and I feel for the first time in a really long time...that I am getting back to the heart of the matter...Who and what is most important. Thank you again so much. I loved the story of the missionaries. That too, meant a lot. Blessings!

I love this idea Sherry. I'm curious how you find time for all these wonderful things you share with us!
@thehomespunwife
@thehomespunwife 7 жыл бұрын
Most of these things take very little time each day, Kimberly. If you read over a morning devotion, then pulling out your daily calendar and writing down one word and the Scripture reference just takes 30 seconds at most. Since most people check their planners in the morning to see the day's events, its very quick to jot this down. As for the prayer writing and Scripture writing, they take a few minutes more (esp. the prayer writing). But even the Scripture writing, if you use it for your devotional time, it takes less than 10 minutes to write. So if you get up about 15 minutes earlier in the morning, you could implement the Scripture Writing and the Theme word in your planner. I know that might be a stretch some days...but even if you make it a goal for 3 mornings during the work week, then it would be a blessing! Thanks so much for watching and writing friend! :)
