Thanks for the build and we are going to try this as Pizza is my son's favorite thing and it will teach him how easy it is to do it yourself for next to nothing. Great job!

This is on my to do list. Gotta finish the outhouse on skids first! I'm going to build up a base with concrete block, for a better working height! Otherwise will build it just like yours! Good video!

It worked brilliantly, allowed fire to burn for 40mins as I believe you suggested. Cooked pizza for 10mins, not going to bother with the heat gun now! Thanks for your tips. I am spreading the word here in UK and NZ too💚👌

Love the simplistic design, do you know if the concrete slabs are safe for cooking on, ie do they contain Toxins like lead ect... thanks

Thank you! The research I’ve done I haven’t found anything harmful but I’m no expert.

Try Cornmeal instead of flour on the pizza peel

I came here to write this exact thing.

Great vid, Vaseline and a cotton ball is cheaper route, basically makes a candle
@badhat30513 жыл бұрын
KOOL!!! you might try Course Cornmeal on the prep board and on the peal...

what is the material of the slab used in the pizza oven?
@Slowyourroll258 ай бұрын
It’s a cement paver.
@deerbeerdeerbeer2 жыл бұрын
Great idea I'm just going to buy those pavers and bricks and build a dome. Ill put the fire in the back of the dome the pizza in the front.

Have you tried cooking two at once? Did it affect anything?
@Slowyourroll253 жыл бұрын
No we haven’t due to lack of room on the stone,.
@markegan25703 жыл бұрын
Does the top paver get hot enough to cook on as well? 🙂
@Slowyourroll253 жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely, we will throw the cast iron skillet on it and cook in it.
@rickbilliter67352 жыл бұрын
Another similar build said yes. They use the top for pans and as a warmer!

try corn meal on the peal. Doesn't burn as easy and gives a nice crunch to the crust

Or use Semola, semoule or semolina that's what we use here in France and Italy. Enjoyed your video!!

Have you been able it to a hotter tempeture? Say 700? Also have you tried building the fire in the same stone you cook the pizza?
@Slowyourroll253 жыл бұрын
We’ve gotten it around 650 to 700. No we haven’t, there really isn’t enough room to build it there.

Wood is important - you want a good fruit wood like apple, plum, cherry. It will taste better than pine or whatever.
@Slowyourroll252 жыл бұрын
