How to use your HP Tuners MPVI-Pro unit to record data without laptop (GM Only) GEN III/IV

This video will show you how to use your HP Tuners MPVI-PRO unit to record data without the use of a laptop. This only works on GM GEN III/IV vehicles.
0:25 Standalone data logging without a laptop
0:39 This only will work on the PRO unit. This will NOT work on a standard unit
0:45 How do I know if I have the PRO unit?
0:55 Device will record up to 32 small logs or up to 80 minutes of Data

1:51 Step 1 in order for this to work you need to....
2:25 Select vehicle then MPVI Pro Data Logging
2:49 Couple of options before we write config
2:55 Select scan rate
3:10 Once we write config we will get....
3:25 Now we can start recording to our PRO device without a laptop
3:50 As you can see I am recording data without a laptop.
4:10 To stop recording data press and hold "stop" button for 2 seconds
4:34 Let's look at how to retrieve the data
4:45 Hit "get info" and you will see the logs that we recorded
5:00 Double click your file to see what you recorded.
5:05 Please keep in mind your files will always show the date you pull them and not the actual record date. It's best to pull your files same day and name them accordingly.

I don't have HPT myself, but have always wondered if it had this feature. It kills me seeing everyone riding around with their laptop or buddy holding the laptop riding shotgun. great info!

I wish it would work without having to select write config every time you want to scan. I tested it for a few seconds to make sure it worked, then turned it off. Well when I went out to turn it back on I forgot to bring back the computer and reconnect(write config). So I went a whole day doing errands thinking I was collecting data only to come back to see nothing lol

Is HPtuners going to update the pro unit os to allow more scanning of more cars? I know my coyote will not record unless I have my laptop.

It says you used 3% of the memory capacity for that log? Is the 3% the minimum memory block usage (100%/32 logs) or was this a 2.4 minute data log (80 minute capacity x 3%)?
