Thank you so much, way better then the official version. Can you please explain how to adjust the rings when the baby is in the carrier ? And do you have any tips what to do when the lower back hurts?😅❤

The only adjustment you should need to do when baby is in the carrier is to tighten if needed. You do that by holding the “tails” of the sling & pulling straight forward. If your back hurts and your baby is under 3m old, it’s likely that your carrier needs to be tightened. If baby sits too low, the weight will pull down and away from you and hurt your back. If your baby is over 3m old, you may wish to look for a more supportive sling. Hope that helps.

You can choose either method from their instructions. In my experience this tends to be the one that parents prefer as the fabric crosses between the babies legs. Either position is fine - just allow the baby to adopt their natural seated position rather than forcing the knees together or apart.

Really helpful thank you. I'm using this for my 2 week old. Is it safe to keep their legs up in scrunch position in carrier? I assume you don't have legs as per video until they unscrunch? Thanks!

Yes, you can allow them to stay scrunched up, but just pop the fabric into the back of their knees. You don’t want their body weight to be resting on their feet, so popping the fabric into the backs of their knees allows them to stay scrunched, but keeps the weight off their feet.

I promise you it’s not complicated! If you don’t have a local sling library/babywearing consultant that can help, then have a look to see if you can find one that offers online consultations. They can help talk you through it. If youre still feeling like it’s a bit too much, the Hatchling Carrier from DracoMom will also work for a 5lb baby. Hope that helps. 🙂

@yellowbeachgirl The weight limits are not about the fit of a sling/carrier. All that the “7-35lb” label means on a sling/carrier is that it was loaded on to a machine & force was applied at 7lbs & 35lbs. If it didn’t tear/break it’s considered to have passed. If a carrier company wants to have their product tested for less than 7lbs of force, or more than 35lbs, they have to pay more - so, generally, they don’t. The Hatchling will fit from around 5lbs until approximately 6-9m of age. The Izmi Baby Carrier generally fits from about 6lbs, so that’s another one to look out for. 👍🏼 Hope that helps. 🙂

The back cross went higher on your back but you said its supposed to be lower i noticed it hurts my upper back

It does sometimes ride up. If your upper back is hurting, make sure it’s tight enough, which stops your baby’s weight pulling away from you. 👍🏼
