In my African language periods are referred to as the moon. When one goes on their periods they say You have gone to the moon or you have seen the moon.

Yessss this is definitely something I love to do. I do meditate on shedding what no longer serves and shadow work journalling just before I bleed and allow the bleed to be a ritual release for these. I also like to collect my menstrual blood to use it in my practice; I freeze some and I have dried some previously also, to keep for magic; I offer some to the deity I work with and I take a menstrual face mask once or twice during my bleed - my kids find it a bit alarming but I'm working on normalising a woman's menstrual cycle for them as they are only 5 and 7. I usually save some to add with water to offer the earth and water the plants and I like to paint with it occasionally as well. I work with the lunar phases quite closely and I love to see how my cycles reflect the Moon. So interesting to discuss. Thank you for sharing 🙏

Ouf tbh I don’t really know how the cycles work with someone who went through menopause :/ that’s why I said it applies to any person who gets their period… i guess one would have to find out their own cycles and see whether they can be used in any specific way 🤔

I think you can still use it. I mean… there’s usually SOMETHING that clashes timing wise. Or at least it very rarely happens that we choose a day where EVERYTHING is perfect (aka week das AND moon phase AND astrological setup AND planetary hour etc) ☺️
