I have a set formula for spells, setting the target, invoking deity, raising power and then putting it into action but the details vary from spell to spell and that's what takes the work but by having a formula, a structure, it makes it easier to set each one up.

Spells are powerful, they can really work! My humble advise to everyone is make sure you don't use them as a short cut instead of being a good person. Resolve what your conscience is guiding you to do first, then the vibes and long term results from any spell will be so much better.

1. Writing your own spells is important because the act of creation matters, and if you want the Spirit of All Things to work with you, you have to do your part of the work. Justice matters, and if one expects the universe to work magic for you without you putting in the work, that's unjust. That would be taking the universe for granted, like expecting your friend to do all your work for you would be to take your friend for granted. 2. Rhyming your spells helps you focus, helps you repeat it while focused, and committing it to memory leaves less evidence of witchyness for others to find, historically. (I have food recipe rhymes committed to memory too).

Yeah seriously I remember in my past toxic relationship back in Jan. My ex hated when I practiced my spiritual beliefs and talked down on them, didn’t like when I practiced it and literally threatened to harm me with a knife for “witchyness” . I’m glad it’s over and I now I have the freedom to practice without anyone standing in the way so that’s why I want to make sure I hide it too! He used to say it was magical thinking and pseudoscience yet he would then go practice law of attraction. It’s like the same as removing yoga from its spiritual beliefs. The lesson here is that I’ll never let a controlling partner or person get in the way of my positivity

I started out this path wanting to live intentionally. I find that reciting poetry or song lyrics is very powerful, especially if done repeatedly over a long period of time. I also find myself dancing sometimes with an energy that is almost moving me or dancing me in order to bring in energy to the physical realm. I wouldn't necessarily call it a spell, it is almost like being used by the universe to meet a needed end.

For my spell work, I use sigils as well, but I form them a bit differently. I eliminate vowels and doubles as well, but then assign numbers to the letters and use a circle with numbered points to form mine.

Yes!!! I always feel like prayer, spells, manifestation is energy putting the energy into the world. Or an exchange of energy. I grew up catholic and they do a ton of ritual stuff in prayers which i was always drawn to that part. Dont recommend telling them that though they are a bit sensitive

Hi Scarlet i love your video i took note of all the steps i haven't written my own spells before mostly cause I'm not sure how to do it.I do want to write a spell using fall leaves I'm really drawn to fallen leaves i'm always pressing them in my books and saving them but i don't know how to incorporate them into a spell by burning some,Ointing a candle with crushed leaves.i do have a big Correspondence book i can research but anyhelp on using dried or fresh fall leaves would be appreciated thank you.

I always write my own but I use others’ spells as a guide because I’m new so I’m not quite sure what I’m doing yet. But I have to write my own as well because I’m in the broom closet and so I definitely don’t have the items to use in spells that people who don’t have to worry about it often have. Most of my spells are just thoughts or poems and I use candles and incense with them overall.

Can't we use objects outside of their known properties by giving them our own meaning? For example, cinnamon is for wealth but can I use it for other purposes? Red is anger or passion in general but if it is peace for me, can I use it for peace in my rituals? What if I don't feel anything for an object, like what if cinnamon doesn't mean anything to me. Then can I use it for any goal?Thanks for the video.

Spellcraft is a creative process by nature. Formulaic spells will always be weaker than personal ones. Casting a spell is like shooting a gun. The focus is the bullet, and the willpower is the gunpowder. Symbolism is how you aim at your target. If it does hit the target however, it is up to the divine soul. Black magic obviously ignores the divine soul in favor of other less favorable entities. Now create away.

Very cool and well thought out. For a historical take I recommend Keickhefer's Magic in the Middle Ages where he goes in depth about the ambiguity of prayer vs spell, especially in the middle ages. My mom taught me my first "spell" as a child in Spanish which was "sangre de venado que se vaya por otro lado" which translates as "blood of the deer let him go the other way". It rhymes in Spanish and is usually used against police officers if your inspection sticker has expired or you are illegally parked.

I prefer to rhyme, but you don't have to. Use words that have special meaning to you,e.g., angels hour, 🌬️ wind, 3, knock, crystals, candles, bell, as above etc.

This includes studying moon phases (understanding the energy of each phase and activities suited to them), exploring different types of witches to finding where you feel resonates with you, and reflecting on why you want to pursue witchcraft. also delving into the history of witchcraft, considering what it means to you personally, and starting with spells like protection, grounding, cleansing, and glamour magic.
