Wonderful. I've been a content manager for 50 years for a school system where the whole emphasis is getting to know individual young people so you can given them success experiences every day at their own level. The result is that those daily successes are extremely addictive. Prospective parents are shocked when they tour the school and see kids from four to eighteen buried in their schoolwork very happily in search of the next small, progressive success. Absolutely the same principle as you all are describing. The culture in the schools is amazing - you feel it the moment you step on the school grounds. Of course, there's more, but that's the core of it.

Sad to say - but true. Publishing a book is like crawling on hands and knees for 50 miles and licking the pavement all the way. You learn to enjoy the journey. :]

Coach Tony, I would love to see some tips for a distance/ mid distance runner to get faster. My big take away from a lot your videos is to not be too fatigued but I am not sure how to balance fitting in quality speed with sufficient running mileage. I'm an adult who has been running a long time but my 200 meter sprint has always been stuck at 27 seconds. I would like to be able to pull out a 25 and believe that would help raise my overall ceiling for longer races.

If there any decent benefit to going for Max speed on a rowing machine for 5-10 seconds? The speed ie minutes/500meters is big and clear to see on the concept2 Rower display. Thank you coach. Maybe when weather not great? PS 5 vertical jumps where Mark chalk at highest point each time?

From a health perspective , does speed training cover your cardio vascular needs? I was always under the impression you needed steady state cardio at least for health. If someone is training strength and speed is that enough for heart health ?
