What about fowl pox? Do you have a video demonstrating that once they get a little older? We have a terrible problem in our area and I'd like to just get the vaccine rather than deal with treatments later on.

Unfortunately we don't have something with fowl pox specifically. However, as long as you follow the specific instructions for the vaccine (or medicine, some antibiotics etc are given via injection) meaning that specific vaccines dose etc. The actual way to administer an injection will be the same as shown in the video assuming it's administered subcutaneously.

I just found my flock has fowl pox. I was told to just let it pass since there is nothing i can do about it, is that right?

@@shay5382 we have never had it in our flock. But based on the knowledge I have about it. Yes, there's no real treatment. There is only prevention (via vaccination before they get it). It is very easy to transmit so you can expect most of your flock to be likely to get it. Make sure to keep bedding and coop etc very clean to get rid of scabs as they eventually fall off. Giving some vitamins probably wouldn't hurt to give them a little boost and anything else to keep stress levels down so they can fight off the virus.

It will be the same process regardless of the amount you need to vaccinate. You will likely be able to cut the time down with practice. It doesn't take quite this long when we aren't filming and narrating it :-)

Dude, there is got to be a better way with feeding them apple vinegar, or some preventive measures with natural stuff. I too think this not effective if you have a huge flock of chickens. Hundreds of years ago they did not have any pharmaceuticals and they managed to grow them.

For Marek's (which is optional), it is just one time. You may want to be sure your brooder is the right temperature. That their food and water is correct and that they don't have coccidia if you are experiencing lots of chicks dying.

It's not toxic vaccination metals. And do you know what Mareks does to a Chicken? Tumors everywhere in affected birds, destroys their immune systems, paralysis, and finally, death. It's horrific. The death is typically dehydration or starvation because they shut down. Nothing deserves to die like that. It takes days, some times weeks. And it can wipe out entire flocks. So learn how things work instead of "metal poison and bad!"
