@jameskazd99514 ай бұрын
nice tutorial, varial heels are my favorite of the "basic" flip tricks. been skating for a while but am still working on things like kickflips and heelflips, and also still struggling with FS shuvs, so i might have to come back to this video when i get a little better
@andyschubert67302 жыл бұрын
Great trick tips! The key for me was to focus my weight on the front foot, which you have mentionned in the video. Next laser flip? :)

I put my front foot with my heel standing just in the middle of my board, so I would say that aiming your heel for the right (left for goofy) corner of your nose helps too And also, have you ever considered making some footage of doing a trick with a POV? I think it would help begginers like me a lot to understand what's really going on beneath you
@toms_tutorials2 жыл бұрын
I think that's a great call! Some POV angles could be awesome for future tutorials.

I always loved Varial Heels, they are more easy than a kickflip for me. Though, I never gave attention of how I was doing them. I really like that advice on the feet positionning/toes not hanging as much as you think they should. I'll try focusing on that because even tho I get them pretty easily on flat/pyramid/bumps... I can't get it to stick to my feet on a gap. They almost always over/underflip or I catch them with my feet too close of each other. That said, great video once again, keep it up

Finally someone who really committed to make good tutorials. Most tutorials where like, 1 min so I tell you how to do a the trick, you push stand on your board like this and then bam do the trick, thanks for watching!

Great vid!would you make videos about ledge tricks and videos that are not focusing on a specific trick but more of a genre (commiting while going fast,skating gaps,flipping in and out of tricks,getting your tricks cleaner etc.)? Anyway,love your videos!

Some tricks are just like that and this is one of them. I honestly don't know why. For me all varial heel and big heel tricks are a lot easier regular, but for a lot of people switch is easier, so don't worry you're not the only one.
