very misleading title. You showed us how to outline a picture.... now what about the details, shadows etc how are those vectorized?
@ecks821411 ай бұрын
Not misleading at all. It gets the vectors. Which does not inclide that information.
@rodfrinks594710 ай бұрын
He did vector it.
@Nobodyever-0010 ай бұрын
Lol illustrator is a vector application. Therefore any art made in the application is considered vector art. I think you should look up the difference between vector and raster art.
@JS-tp4hh10 ай бұрын
He explained it pretty well, lol. Learn a little more, maybe before sending stuff like this...
@ThomasHendrick-m9z8 ай бұрын
You can’t really vectorize a gradient shadow but some details yes but it’s usually pointless depending on how clean you want it to look

How did you make the line work look so interesting? it appears to have different weight throughout the image
@ker_possible2 жыл бұрын
I was looking for that in the tutorial but then it wouldn't be a 6 minute or less tutorial lol. I'm assuming that he changes the type of stroke to a paint brush. But I haven't tested yet so I'm not 100% sure.
@Zullala2 жыл бұрын
@@ker_possible I used to draw out my line work by hand and then trace is with the pen tool but that takes FOREVER! I suppose you can also draw the line work out by hand or digitally and then ask illustrator to trace it for you. It's faster but the layers aren't as clean. But I'm really curious as to how he did it in this video. Maybe I missed something and should rewatch it.
@boping2 жыл бұрын
Numbers of ways to achieve this, but you can do so by setting pen pressure on if you have a tablet and then go crazy w the brush tool; or you can use the width tool which might be a lil tricky depending on what you're doing.

The easiest way is to use a splatter or grain brush so everything stays vector. I downloaded a lot of these on Envato. It makes my artwork stand out so much more!

I just started doing this and I have about 30 clients, mostly politicians / campaign signs / websites / walk cards / flyers .... But I just got a request for a 12 foot by 24 foot billboard and im freaking out.. I found a program that vectorizes images , which I imagine i am going to need. My question is where can I find a 24' width 12' height pdf blank template? I imagine I just create the dimensions in Illustrator, but is there a way to do something that big in adobe pro?

How would you vector a whole poster or package design? Would you have to trace each individual element in the design?
@strickerarts Жыл бұрын
Id use the image trace feature and then clean it up so it looks good. It also depends on the detail of the image.

You have a lot of good YT channels (and a lot of bad ones) giving advice on this. Check out Zen watercooler or similar. POD is strong in 2020 ad 2021 and the market is oversaturated so in order to succeed quality and originality is a must.
