The reason why is bc when you become a famous KZbinr they would have to verify that its you.. second reason: because someone will try to copy your YT channel name.. and they'll pretend to be you and they might end up hurting your YT Channel and your fans dont know if its really you or not.. thats the reason why theres a Verification.. and btw you'll have a ✅️ beside your YT Channel name and your fans will know that is you.. I had no idea this only works twice on the same phone number, and if you learn THAT, then delete an account & try to start a new one, you are stuck with a deleted channel and a spent phone number and CANNOT verify a new channel that easily. I tried to track down my phone number so I can remove it on youtube, but is easier said than done.

What if the user who wants these features doesn't have a phone number? Like, some people don't even have a phone number so they couldn't verify. Some people tried bypassing on a website for free SMS online but the only problem is that more than 2 people use the same number to bypass the verification on. So, if you could, will you make a way to verify for those who don't have a phone number (like email verification or 2 step verification enabled, etc.)? If so, those users who don't have a phone number will get access to these features.

I wanted to verify my KZbin account and did the instruction video. Sadly I didn't receive a 6 digit code from Google but from a normal 11 digit mobile number in PH. I didn't pay any attention to it since it's not from "Google" and waited a couple of minutes but received nothing. Then I resend and waited for a text from Google and received a 6 digit code from another 11 digit mobile number. I don't know if this is normal or someone bypassed KZbin security.
