One question, how do you first drain the fuel? I changed my jet yesterday and leaked a bit of fuel

@@warriorwal I typically remove the hose that is attached to the carburetor and place it upright so it doesn't spill. Next I put a small bucket underneath the carb to catch the fuel so I dont spill it all over the floor, when I remove the screw underneath.

Yes, tuning the jet for this motor requires trial and error there are times you go for leaner jets or vice versa to get the motor running in optimum performance. Also, there are tools that racers use to identify the correct jet such as weather station or an jet app for Rotax.

How do the numbers on the jets work?

The numbers correlates to how lean or rich you want to run your engine. The lower the number indicates that lean jet setting and the higher the number means rich setting. Typically, to optimize your set up for your main jet, you would need a software such as rotax jetting app to tell you the optimum jet.
