I am a QA Engineer and learned many programs/systems, even Standalone ecu management for race cars etc, and I always get WOWed - how such huge companies like Polar, and the engineers that sit there - can't make a product for HUMEN need 😂😂 For example: many companies show HR graph starting from 60 to 220 and then you see your line and can't understand a clue.. because it's not visible. Also no horizontal lines, nothing. It is so simple to a programmer to make a smarter graph indications, adjustable or even to get possibility to zoom Y axis with fingers.it is so simple...it takes few minutes to code this concept. We, as a users of smartwatches, know what is great for us, what may be better and what lacks. - When you work in such company...why not getting a best solutions into product and that's it?? Ahaha. Talking about GUI and stuff. I still don't get why it's still not at high enough level. It's time to send them CV to set the pace 😃🥳

The people who write code and program computers are not the sharpest tools in the shed. This is why they did not take up engineering or become a medical doctor. Any one with a pulse can become a computer programmer. I agree, they need to make smarter graphs and present the information in a more logical manner.

Hi thanks for the great video! I'd like to get recovery information just with using the Polar H10 combined with the Polar Beat / Polar Flow apps. Is this possible without having a watch? I've never owned one. I'm thinking of buying a Polar H10 depending on your answer! Many thanks Gary

Hi! I tried a workout with H10 and polar beat, unfortunately I could not recieve recovery time on polar flow. There were no difference at all between using polar beat or the watch actually. I live in Sweden, could it be regional settings? So for me there are no recovery time. That's a shame really! On the other hand, I could recieve time in zone if I chose the small cog wheel (setting) for the heartrate zones.

maybe in a silent minute beside all the Garmin fan boy enthusiasm you should take a look what Strain, Tolerance and Cardio load build up aka TRIMP means and how it's presented in Polar Flow against your 90days average then you might realize it's much more sophisticated as a simple recovery number on your Garmin...

It seems like polar did this on purpose to push the avantage z/2. I don’t know what recovery plus can do at whole, but estimated recovery time used to be standard with their 400/30m series. I’d love to buy the m2, the looks, the displaying of metrics over time, sleep Tracking etc.. But not showing Regeneration time and no rope skipping profile (Garmin app ) let me tend to buy the forerunner 245 instead

So just to make it clear. The data is there if you use a polar heart rate monitor (verity sense), but you can’t see them unless you connect a polar watch (ignite or better)?

Thanks ! Can I figure out my recovery time based on the cardio load? Thanks!

it’s a pity why polar gives no recovery time and it’s huge issue to me that I still need H9/10 with grit x pro…
@fitgearhunter2 жыл бұрын
Yes totally. No idea why they removed it! It was actually pretty useful and I have no idea what the benefit was in nixing it. And yes the dependence on a chest strap or arm band is pretty prevalent depending on the intensity of the work you’re doing. Even with the most accurate sensors I always see felt discrepancies in accuracy if you are really hitting it hard and there is a lot of flex at the wrist. But all that being said the grid X pro did not have the top accuracy

I have vantage m , it has the status on the watch , it says if you overtrain , then you know that you must rest .

only in polar flow right? don't need to start polar beat?

Hey! They actually removed it all together -need to take this video down! Sorry!

As always your video is dope ! Great Job ! But I don't know why I can't find the time of recovery time even if I do what you said ... Maybe in France we don't have the same data ...

Great Video. Sended back the V2 and went with the Forerunner 945. I was a Polar User since 1999...

That’s great! I like Polar a lot (other than the super dim backlight and faulty notifications) - but there is absolutely no comparison to Garmin, and the 945 is the best. Good job!

Hey! Is there a reason why youre using a chest strap from polar and not from garmin? Whicht strap from garmin would you recommend for hit training oder strength training?
@fitgearhunter3 жыл бұрын
Great question! I used a Garmin ANT+ strap for a long time, but eventually found a deal for the H 10 so have just used it all along. It seems like most of Garmin’s chest straps were focused on running or triathlons (and could pick up cadence and special stuff like that, if none of which I needed) so the H 10 simple one it was! And honestly for strength training I would just go with the least expensive, lowest profile, but I haven’t paid attention to any of the older models know know what one that would be exactly! That sounds like an idea for a new review topic!

@@fitgearhunter im thinking about buying hrm dual... seems to be the cheapest (55 euros on amazon) ... the more expensive straps seem to be more useful for running and other endurance sports
@fitgearhunter3 жыл бұрын
@@LokGop yes totally, that sounds like a good deal! The H 10 strap itself actually is really nice and holds really well, so I hope this one does too. That seems to be all that matters for practical use

Hey! Yes unfortunately they removed the functionality. I will have to take this review down!
