I am a Pink color person and I Love these colors. Thanks for the tutorial. I will definitely have to give this method a try. I'm still somewhat new to dipping and mostly do solid or French tip. Different color combos on the French tip look wonderful but I ready to venture out. Thanks. 😊

I love it. It's a perfect pini for that gold glitter.

I'm in awe, once again, of your work. That design is something I used to do with nail polishes. Don't know if I could pull it off with dip powders though. And that Green dip.....I'm in love with it. It's gorgeous!

Cupcake baking cups work great for this sort of pouring your powder.

Great job, I'd have given up before the end!! Love the colour combo. I'm not a pink person either unless it's very pastel. 💖👏👏👏

This is super pretty and cool but as a wise woman once said “Ain’t nobody got time for that”. It take me two hours to do a basic mani I don’t have it in me for time consuming nail art. Though with how nice this looks I wish I did! I know tape is cheap and plentiful but so much tape waste! Especially discarding the “contaminated” tape in between. I love these videos and will absolutely keep watching. She does a good job explaining and showing what she’s doing and is clearly a real person and not just a KZbin personality.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I approach each set like I would an art project so I dont mind the extra time and count myself lucky that I have it ❤

Love this but will it work doing gel method? All these tutorials are great but I always have to figure out how to adjust for gel method.
@MelissasManis3 жыл бұрын
Yes it would work with gel! I usually put the gel down, powder, partial cure, pull off tape and clean line if needed then finish the curing
@MelissasManis3 жыл бұрын
I'll have to do some of these designs using gel!

Thank you for sharing! How do you get your nails to look thin and not so thick ?

It's all about not putting on too many layers and also making sure you're filing enough.

I think they’re beautiful ❣️ How do you keep each layer even? Like the glitter being higher than the regular powders?
@MelissasManis4 жыл бұрын
Just making sure I do the same amount of dips. With solids I'll file them even without clear. Sometimes with glitters ill do clear over just the glitter so I can file the layers flat. Luckily this glitter behaved.

I'm curious... how do you store all your dip and nail products? I'm starting to accumulate more and more but want to see how others store their stuff and if it works before I go on a buying spree. thanks!

Also - I love watching your videos where things go wrong! It helps me actually learn and find ways to fix my mistakes as a beginner. Thank you for sharing your tips and troubleshooting ideas :)
@MelissasManis4 жыл бұрын
Youre welcome! I think its important to know that sometimes things won't go quite as planned but it can usually be fixed :) I have a drawer system for storage though it's all currently a mess! I have the rainbow cart from Michael's and I sort my dips by color in the drawers. I plan to get a second one so I can do glitters in one and shimmers/solids in the other. Another set of drawers for nail art supplies :)

I notice you never clean the brush. Do these liquids not get contaminated like other brands?
@MelissasManis3 жыл бұрын
No they're very hard to contaminate!
@stephaniegordon92594 жыл бұрын
This mani is very pretty. How is it that the top coat brush doesn’t get hard when you do the 1st coat? I didn’t see you wiping the brush.
@MelissasManis4 жыл бұрын
It's the brand I'm using! Double Dipp'd does not contaminate easily.
@stephaniegordon92594 жыл бұрын
I see. I’ll definitely pick up there liquids the next time I place an order. Maybe for Black Friday. I love their clear dip powder, and I just got my order of semicolon.
@MelissasManis4 жыл бұрын
Yes definitely get them! Theyre so much more user friendly than the dozen other brands I've used ❤❤
@Kim-rq6mu4 жыл бұрын
Also if you wipe the nails with alcohol after the activator and before the top coat I think that will prevent contamination. Not sure if Melissa did that but that's what I do and I use vitamin dip liquids

I know this is an older video, but I have a question. You activated the triangles in between colors...did you wipe the nail down with alcohol between colors to get rid of excess activator? I'd be so terrified to get activator from the last triangle onto my dip base brush when doing the next color triangle. Do you understand what I'm trying to say lmao? Or are you just really careful when putting the activator on the triangle and not to touch it when you go next to it with base for the next color? OMG, I made that sound way more confusing than what it is. Basically I don't want to ruin my base with activator haha
@MelissasManis3 жыл бұрын
No I totally get what you're saying! I wasn't worried about it at all because these liquids I use aren't prone to contamination at all. I know a lot are which is why these are my favorite. I even apply top coat immediately after activating!
@ginapoof3 жыл бұрын
@@MelissasManis Ok! I’ve never used their liquids. I’ve tried so many and triple d is my favorite now and I’ve never gummed them up in the year I’ve used them, so maybe I’ll get lucky 🤣 Thanks for the reply! Subscribed!
@MelissasManis3 жыл бұрын
I loved the shine of the Triple D top coat but the brush always hardened up on me which drove me crazy 🤣 I didn't love the base so I'm not sure how it will react but it's worth a shot. Just give the activator enough time to dry and you should be ok 😊

Have u every tried mylar flakes?I Bought some but have no clue how to use them.
@MelissasManis4 жыл бұрын
Just the flakes? How large are they? They are definitely not fun to work with but you can just add them over a color for a cool look! Would need clear over the top so you can make sure the file the nail smooth.
@alishatremaine12764 жыл бұрын
I got them from Amazon. They come in a little circle jar. It is just the flakes
@MelissasManis4 жыл бұрын
You'd apply them similar to applying glitter shapes. I have a video coming tomorrow!
