18:20 is it possible to obtain a sim card at an airport kiosk upon arrival? Do they have different plans to select from, and do they activate the sim? Do you have a favorite airline from the west coast to BKK? Watching your videos, it would appear that the sidewalks on Sukhumvit are kind of narrow, and some streets have no walkways at all, is the center of Bangkok walker friendly?

Sim cards are everywhere, including the airport. They set it up in 5 minutes. I've flown all the airlines. I like the one that gives me a business seat for free with points. Yes, there are street vendors, but people walk every day. If you don't like busy sidewalks, a city like Tokyo, New York, or Bangkok may be difficult for you. There are even moto bikes on the sidewalks. It's all in my videos. Scan through the Sukhumvit playlist and decide if it's right for you. There are plenty of smaller cities, but this one has 16 million people in a small area.

Can you show a flight out at say day 85 of your stay with the intention of paying the 1900 bht to get the extra 30 days added to the 60 you get on arriving?

It's more an issue with the airline. They may not let you board the plane. I explained that I was getting a visa the day I arrived. That didn't work. You can give it a shot. Just have a cheap bus or flight ready to buy for day 59. Or an expensive "refundable" fare at American Airlines on, say, Japan Airlines. Cancel that the day you arrive. The problem isn't BKK unless you have a dozen short-term stays in the passport. The problem lately is LAX letting you fly leg one.

How much is deducted from your pension monthly for your blue cross insurance?

Like everything it creeps up every year. I think I'm close to $275 a month for my single only policy. That's for one of the best policies they make. Case in point, it works anywhere in the world. Bumrungrad is even an in network hospital. The catch is you have to be retired 0or active) federal worker to get it. I've had cops or firefighters tell me their Blue Cross doesn't work long-term overseas. I think you need the Geo Blue addition for the international coverage. Chicago Fire, etc.. may not have a need to provide that. For one, it's expensive. The US government has people working all over the world. I'm sure you can buy it, but it wont be $275. Probably three times that amount. I'm grateful to be able to keep this benefit. Then again, I did 37 years federal time. Hope that helps.
