In this tutorial I attempt to replicate the circular distance overlay you see on the popular Citymapper navigation app. This feature shows how many minutes it will take to walk through a city, and I use it all of the time because it's such a great visual. 😍 Check out GEOlayers - bit.ly/3Clko5I Get the PROJECT FILES! - www.patreon.com/boonelovesvideo Monday Maps - bit.ly/3rwh55S Tuesday Tools - bit.ly/305DkUy SUBSCRIBE! - bit.ly/3CIadYI 0:00 Intro 0:19 Patreon 0:31 The Idea 2:16 Add a Scale Bar 3:09 Find Pixel Width for 1k 3:52 Create a New Ellipse 4:48 Match Ellipse Size to Scale Bar 5:44 Duplicate Ellipse Shape Group 6:33 Add Dashes to the Stroke 7:03 Add Labels 8:03 Connect Everything 9:10 Fine Tuning the Style 10:31 Outro/Go Walk in Paris

Hey man I wanted to thank you for all your videos, especially about geolayers 3. My channel would probably not be what it is without them.

I'm considering GeoLayers but before I jump in I wanted to check how useful it is without the optional MapTiler subscription - $330 for GL PLUS $25/month for MapTiler is a bit hefty.

Please make a fresh review of the GEOlayers 3 plugin 👈 I'm not familiar with it, I want to go deeper and figure out with examples what I can do in the work. You can use separate tutorials to understand each link in the program and its capabilities. This is an amazing plugin when working with maps. Especially impressive are the 3D landscapes and paths along the trails. And so everything will be interesting and necessary. Thanks

Add a offset paths
@BooneLovesVideo2 жыл бұрын
Ah! Brilliant. Didn't even think of that. However I like the versatility of toggling each measurement on and off quickly.
@broadcastbytes2 жыл бұрын
@@BooneLovesVideo offset paths with amount linked to the ellipse size divided by 2. Then just choose how many copies you want. Measurements can be applied as per usual, retaining your ability to show or not by keyframing number of copies. Mind you if you want to hide the 3rd ellipse and keep 1,2,4,5,6 etc. Then yes you will need your method, plus your method gives nicer opacity controls for the other ellipses if that is required. Keep it up you always inspire me.
