Have you considered pairing your Aeroccino to one of the Sonos Play 1's as the other surround speaker? I believe Sonos is working with Nespresso as a partner and I've found their products work really well together. 😏

Do you know the exact size for the screws that screw the beam to the mount?? I’ve lost mine
@mullen62924 жыл бұрын
Great video, did you screw that into plasterboard, or is that a solid wall behind the tv?
@georgekenny43254 жыл бұрын
I put mine into a solid wall. However, I normally use the screw in plaster plugs which are relatively robust for a plasterboard wall. The sonos isn't TOO heavy that it'd be poor for a plastered wall and there are several screw points to ensure you use more than just a couple of plugs.... Good luck Graham

Not sure about the Gen 1 but the Gen 2 has a passive radiator at the back so probably wouldn’t wall mount it

What is the maximum width between the two outside screw slots on the mount?

Can u use the rocket fish mount and bracket to have it close to the tv
@georgekenny43255 жыл бұрын
Not a clue?.... As there are no fixings directly at the rear, I would say probably not.

Do you have sound coming out of the beam when connected to ARC output you showed? I have LG TV with ARC, similar year old like your TV, and yet had to connect to optical interface of the TV, hdmi ARC was nor sending sound out. Thank you.
@georgekenny43252 жыл бұрын
Did not need optical at all chap. ARC is all that was required. My tele shown on the video is an old 2015 Samsung model and works a charm to this day with just the ARC interface. Good luck

@GEORGE KENNY 1. Did you end up moving the mount closer to the TV? 2. How much gap is between the Beam and the wall WHEN screwed in?
@georgekenny43255 жыл бұрын
Hi GeeBee - I didn't move it closer in the end. It's about 1 inch from the back surface of the beam to the wall. You cant adjust this as it's determined by the beam mount - and I think it's more for acoustic purposes that running cables behind.

I noticed you have plugged your Sonos Beam into Ethernet, does the Ethernet cable run into the TV and picks up the network this way or is that wired into your router? Thanks!
@georgekenny43256 жыл бұрын
Hi Marcus, no I have Ethernet directly from the router itself - I am not aware of tethering Ethernet from a Tele port. My other Sonos ONE is on WiFi only mind you and it works a charm, I just try to hardwire stuff where I can to reduce the noise over 2.4GHZ WiFi where possible.

I’m planning on wall mounting this sound bar, drilling a hole behind it and feeding the cables vertically to my tv unit. Will any cables be on show from any angle due to that gap from the wall and the actual speaker? .. Slightly worrying gap really. Cheers

De292 289 im wondering what you ended up doing. I'm thinking about this myself, but me thinks just moving is close enough that I'll only see about half a inch of cable won't bother me much. I don't care for the physical buttons and I'm confident I can slip my finger with half an inch gap only

How does that sound in terms of the size of the room? Does it fill it or do you need to crank it up all the way?
@georgekenny43256 жыл бұрын
dankspain Hi Dankspain. I'd say if does fill the room 'relatively well'. I've got a 55" Samsung and my room is about 7 metres by 5. I was replacing an old Samsung 5.1 system that was very cheap and the Sonos Beam is better than BOTH the native TV speakers and cheapo surround system before. It's not as impressive as I was hoping but I guess this is the jump you get going to the full PLAYBAR at twice the price. I'd buy it again.

Thanks for the response, just what I was looking for. My case is similar to yours tv oriented to the narrowest dimension of the room, but the room is a bit larger, 5x12 m and high ceilings. I reckon that with a couple of 1s as surrounds it will be powerful enough. Similar price as the playbar and you get airplay 2.

Do you have to mount on a stud
@geeveeam37845 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, mine is into concrete with the standard out of the pack plugs, however, it's NOT super heavy, so if you plan on using decent screw in dry-plugs on the board-then you should be ok (use 4 to be safe). Having said that, there are 3 horizontal gaps on the rear of the mount allowing you to be quite flexible as to where you place the plugs - so your studs should be 14" apart and quite easy to detect on a dry wall. If you can find 1 x stud, then you're laughing!

He’s taped the template upside-down and the unit will be roughly two inches higher than the template portrays.
