Scott Vik play 1 works fine. I just added two, to create a sourround system (though without the massive sub)

Hi! I am thinking to change my old 5.1 to Beam with two Sonos one or play. But my main problem it I missed the sub. I read that the beam has a little sub, for me only one little sub it’s ok, but really that’s work properly? Thanks

Could I put one of these on each TV in the house and use them for whole house audio also? I would want to be control them from the Sonos app and have several sources and volume levels for each room.

Yes you can, each Beam will show up as different rooms on your controller and can have as a whole group playing one song or individual playing all different songs at different volume.

Not sure what you mean. Are you suggesting you wanted to “hear” something coming out of the speaker? And then being recorded by an arbitrary microphone, and then mixed, published and then output on your entirely arbitrary speaker. You mean that kind of test? Nah. He didn’t do that. That would be literally pointless.

I guess by now you find out the answer to this but yes you can pair other sonos devices to your beam and stream the tv audio across.

Sonos definitely not any sort of king - I have been riddled with connection/software issues - although if you are not likely to move house or change your broadband connection then its less of a problem - However Question : With 5G becoming common place in many countries with masts going up daily - wired/ cable fed broadband itself must have a limited life in which case this may be a big issue for Sonos users without some changes - Sold my Sonos Playbar and replaced with a Yamaha and all my issues disappeared and have gorgeous sound - Lovely - Just need to get rid of my Sonos Ones speakers now.
