Kyle here at Paradise Fibers give a crash coarse on warping a Beka 10 inch Rigid Heddle weaving loom. Yes, this loom is meant for children generally but is actually kinda hard to warp and very little instruction comes with the loom. This loom can be handy for quick swatches when you don't want to lose a whole bunch of yarn warping, etc. This loom comes with the 4 inch wide heddle even though it is capable of using a 10 inch so be warned. We recommend getting the 10 inch and again, this is a child's loom in general so make sure to select a more formidable loom if you want to do some serious weaving as this model is quite limited. With that in mind we hope this video answers some questions on warping the Beka 10 inch and make sure to call the shop if you need anything or visit our website www.paradisefibers.com 1-888-320-7746

Dear Kyle, You saved the day and eased my nerves and apprehension with this great video. I had purchased this supposed "childrens' loom" on line from a very fine "toy" store in Maine, but was disappointed in the hard-to-follow instructions. I've since written to them and attached a link to your video, suggesting they also put something on You-Tube The "Beka" family said they were aware they need to do this, but haven't gotten to it. May I make a suggestion? Since you basically used this as a "practice run" would you be willing to upgrade it with a few additions? Perhaps you could sell your results to Beka! I'd like to know how to use the warping frame. And, as you suggested, could you also show how you would tie off intervals? Instructions on how to "measure" the necessary length would be extremely helpful. But please do me a HUGE favor! Keep the door closed on the background interference! You're only a few steps away from a very professional presentation! Thank you so very much!

Can't thank you enough for this video. I bought an old vintage children's craft weaving loom by Milton Bradley. The only instructions are on the inside cover of the box and left me completely bewildered. After watching this, now I know what to do with all the pieces and how to start. I only got it to see if weaving was for me and I'm dying to try it now. Hopefully I'll love it and move on to a bigger and better loom. Thanks again Kyle, clear, quick, simple, well demonstrated tutorial!!

Thank you so much for this video! I got one of these looms as a gift when I was a child and I only just retrieved it from my parents' house and I've been trying to figure out how on earth to get it working, since I haven't touched it in over 20 years. Now I'm all excited! This was very helpful, thank you.

Thank you for showing this, it's very good except.... I have only one request. Please, please, please use a tripod or keep the camera still. This method of camera sway that's used in films today can and does give people motion sickness. I am one of them. :(

Can I ask how weaving something really long and skinny can be of use? What do you use the fabric /cloth that is produced in? Do you join long skinny pieces to create a wide piece of cloth? Sorry if my question is stupid, I just don't understand why it is so long.

It would be for weaving a decorative band, like e.g. medieval clothing trim decorations or the traditional sami bands: stoorstalka.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Bands-with-three-background-threads-in-between-each-pattern-thread..pdf
