I should have watched this video first. I just pressed a design on the back of a satin baseball jacket, (yes it can be done). I just followed the directions on the care instructions tag, and just put it in the washing machine and set it to cold wash. Long story short, there was a slight bit of white that rubbed off of the white lettering onto the red lettering. It doesn't look horrible. But I wish it didn't do that. Great video.

I believe this to be true I to also have this type of material and I washed it a lot and it doesn't fade. It did fade at the beginning on Because I was doing it wrong. But now wash it it seems To be stable and to be honest with you I don't even turn the shirt inside out. I actually sold a shirt to a girl when she wash it. it did fade But come to find out she did washed it in delicate mode.

Is there a way to save an image that went through the wash and cracked ? Also what do you recommend for clothing types like polyester when trying to prevent the image from cracking?

Hi, when an image is cracked it is often due to the transfer process (not enough heat and or pressure). Examine your transfer process and make sure you follow the correct process, then I suggest you: 1. waiting 24h before the first wash 2. wash in full spin cycle at 40 degree using cotton or mix wash program 3. before placing the fabric into the machine you turn it inside out so that the transfer does not come into contact with the washing machine’s metal drum 4. using a tumble dryer is recommended. The quicker the fabric dries, the better the transfer will hold long term, just make sure to dry it when the garment is turned inside out. 5. re-pressing with the provided silicon sheet after a few washes flattens the film which in turn holds the image on the garment for longer. What about dark transfer papers washing? I will say that it appears to have stayed on, but after washing (cool) then drying (lower heat) the transfer is wrinkled.. I have no cracks or peeling as of yet so maybe I nailed the iron on process so far.

bruh so the instructions it comes with says 140F to wash but then you go to the site and it says wash cold. Then in the directions it comes with it says do not tumble dry & here it says tumble dry... which is it!???

I noticed in some areas after the first wash, the transfer bubbled up on the shirt from the water, creating wrinkles which led to cracks, then peeling. Other areas are perfectly fine and you can tell they are fully adhered. Is there any way to fix this for longer last? I intend to sell these shirts and want to be certain it can last at least 20 washes.

No difference on my side, but i noticed that the transfer paper doesnt fully adhere in some areas on the shirt, allowing water to seep in and create wrinkles, leading to immediate cracks. I fixed it by inserting flat cardboard while heat pressing (and increasing the plate pressure) as that area was being affected by the collar on the other side of the shirt (I was printing on the backside of the shirt). It seems to have worked. I know its not fully related to your problem, just for anyone looking.
