Hello Lumedia family! I am going to show you how put pictures on shirts. Today I will give you my opinion on what I think is the best heat transfer paper for your inkjet printer to use on custom t-shirts for your stay at home business (neenah 3g opaque dark garment heat transfer paper). If you do not have a DTG printer or a way to do screen printing this is a good way to offer your customers graphic tees, birthday t-shirts, or any other apparel. You can put this on various fabrics and materials. I also give you other tips like the best and cheap inkjet printer to use. Start to print shirts at home and add it to your lists of services. Thank you for watching and I hope this video helped you out!

@AnointedSong
@AnointedSong 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing. I used to use an HP but have since switched to Epson. I prefer the paper for light colors to use with light and white tees because if you stretch it as soon as you take it off the heat press it will give it a softer feel. I haven't tried the paper for dark colors yet because I mostly print light shirts, but I may give it a try. The paper for light colors looks very faded when you print but once it is pressed the color will intensify. I used the version for light colors for my grandson's birthday shirts for the family and also my granddaughter's class shirt when the school ran out of shirts. They came out really well. I did check the instant ink program with HP but I like to have more control over my ink and don't like the fact (reading the fine print) that HP monitors what you are printing I did like the way the HP printed when I had one. I would also recommend letter the paper dry for at least 10-15 mins before pressing. Just curious, is your HP ink a dye or pigment based ink?
@Lumedia
@Lumedia 4 жыл бұрын
The black ink is pigment the color is dye. I do have an epson with full pigment inks though. This video is intended for starters and people just getting started to keep costs down 😁

good video man! I find with the fuzzy edges, I take a Sharpie and run it around the edge to colour them in black (or whatever) and when you press it, the Sharpie ink holds too. I have 11X17 sheets but often don't use the whole sheet. I can hand the off cuts to kids and let them draw whatever they want on them with Sharpies and press those too. I have an Epson Ecotank ET-7750. for all 5 inks, it costs about $100 but you get SO MANY prints from it. We're talking probably 200 full colour 8X10s. Best of all, when you buy this particular printer, it comes with 2 full sets of ink!!. So right off the hop you're good for a long time.

I have an HP printer and the same HP ink plan. You have to keep your printer plugged in at all times so that they can keep track of when your printer starts running low on ink. Hi, I have just found your channel and really appreciate your content. Two questions: 1. If you are just doing this on a small scale for your kids, can an iron be used instead of a heat press? If so, do you have any advice? 2. Do you have a link for the Neenah 3G that is for light garments? Thank you!

Thank you for sharing!!! I'm just starting out too. Wished I saw this before I bought my Epson printer lol. Just one question, I read through the comments to see but I need to be clear. Any regular ink can be used with the recommended printer and paper? I always thought that I had to use sublimation ink only. Btw I'm subscribed. Going to binge watch your videos now lol.

Was looking for a better paper and your video confirmed for me that I should go with Neenah ..... Another tip .... Save money by never buying a teflon sheet again .... Parchment paper is just fine and only $2.00 for a whole roll .... Thx for the video 🤘🤘🤘

@Lumedia

I have used an iron for HTV but I have never tried it on this heat transfer paper if you decide to try it out make sure to have a silicon sheet to place above it so you don’t burn it unevenly.
