@withlovestephaniedenise70245 жыл бұрын
WHO TOLD YOU THAT!? Just like the curl, you have to keep your scalp and hair moist. This is why white people’s hair grow fast. They normally wash their hair daily.

I couldn't agree more. The same effect as the Jeri Curl and better in a lot of cases.

@letraclark3665 жыл бұрын
Yes, yes, you are 100℅ correct........we don't need chemicals at all...😇😎😁✝️✔️👌
@spanishblood98995 жыл бұрын
That is not why white people hair grow the way it does. It's easier for straight hair to come out of the follicle vs curly hair. Less malipulation allows for your hair to not break as much. Also less split ends. They get their hair cut way more than us. Hair no matter what texture grows at an average rate of 6 in a year. We don't have a problem with our hair growing, it's retaining the length that seems to be the issue with women of color. 🙄🤦
@MrMasonsmommie5 жыл бұрын
Thank you thank you thank you!! I've been natural for over 10 yrs. but it was a lot longer than it is now. I had to chop again because of breakage. My curls have been cute but I wanted more! I couldn't find someone on here with the same length AND texture as me! THEN I FOUND YOU! I didn't think my hair could be raked. I would usually brush it through, while wet to get my curl. I tried this method at 9:25 PM on a small section just to see if it would work! BABY I did my whole head it looked so good! Thanks so much! I LOVE IT! Sorry so long lol

OK so why is it called wash and go. Clearly natural hair is a lot of work. Why didn't someone tell me that I'd have to do all this work.
@Frequentfinder8 жыл бұрын
+tameikarose because it doesn't have to dry to leave out the house. Of course the technique varies by person and hair type. If this is too much, try finding a way to simplify it and make it convenient for you. For me, this is very convenient compared to the other styles I do that have to dry for 24 hrs or require heated drying which adds a lot of time to the overall process.

@KalanyMightBeADawg1238 жыл бұрын
Right; this is too much.  What I do is actually a wash and go.  I hop in the shower wash my hair like I do normally.  My hair becomes wavy/curly in the water.  I pat dry than I get some gel, rather it's the one in this video or some other type of gel that will really hold the curls together; when it drys.  I part the hair like she does it, depends on the style.  And I am off.  Well after getting on my clothes.  Takes me 4 mintues or less to do my hair!

I'm going to save your video to my tablet. I feel like we have similar hair. My hair is really curly, but when it's dry it's frizzy. when it's wet, it curls up beautifully. My hair is past my shoulder blade, and half of that is relaxer. I've been growing my hair out for a year and a half now and I think it's time to just stop doing relaxers and just be me again. So.... I am going to save your video to my tablet so that I can see how to care for my hair after I've gotten it REDONE... and THANK YOU SO MUCH for uploading this video. You've helped me more than you know. SISTER to SISTER.... THANK YOU UPDATE: Nov. 27, 19 I had all of the relaxer cut out of my hair in june. What do you do to this at night?
@Frequentfinder8 жыл бұрын
I wrap my hair in a satin scarf at night. In the morning, I use a spray bottle to spray my hair with water. I don't have to touch it. It just brings it back to life after about 10 minutes. Another thing I do in the morning sometimes instead of spraying my hair is fluff with my fingers. I don't rake. I just use my hands to raise my hair. And that works too. But I like to do water most of the time because it's more hydrating.

does this work with every natural hair type ?
@Frequentfinder8 жыл бұрын
What this does is define your curls. So if your curl pattern is coily, this should come out similar. If your curl is looser, your curls will be looser. Still pretty. If you have kinky hair(like z), it wouldn't curl it up but it'll define your kinks and will still be pretty imo. After being unsuccessful at wash n gos for so many years, I learned that different techniques and products work for different people and textures. It's worth a try to see how it turns out no matter what your texture is. It might be what you've been waiting for.

It looks cute on you, but I'm sorry, but that is not my idea of wash and go. It's still too much work and too many products. I cannot imagine going through all that whenever I want to leave the house. I just saturate my hair (or co-wash) while I'm in the shower, put on a hair band (to intercept water drippage), and then massage the Eco gel through it while it is still very wet, and finger-style it. It really isn't all that complicated.
@Frequentfinder8 жыл бұрын
Shri V. Thank you! Im happy that works for you. It doesn't work for me. I have to do a little more but this is still so much quicker than doing a twist out, braid out, perm rod set, pretty much any other style I like to do. So I still consider it to be a wash n go because I wash it, add product, and I don't have to wait for my hair to dry to leave out the house.
@1GLDNLDY8 жыл бұрын
You're a sweetheart; I don't think you need a perm-rod set and all that anyway. I like your curly hair as it is. It's very similar to my daughter's hair before she started messing around with the texture. But, hey, whatever gets us through the day- right? At any rate- thanks for sharing.

What a great idea for a tapered look in the back without having to cut. Frankly, I don't mind the "mullet" look as you call it, but this is a nice way to switch it up. Thanks

Great Video. I like how you pin the back of your hair up to keep it from looking like a "mullet" lol. I wish I learned that trick sooner. Always felt like I had an old school S curl
