I love watching these videos because it reminds me that doing my hair isn’t a chore or some impossible task. My mom has a perm since the 80’s and I started going “natural” (No chemicals in my hair but still getting it straightened) in 8th grade. The front of my hair is so damaged but my mom just thinks twisting it will fix it. Can’t wait to get a diffuser and some scissors 😊

@blankblank5231

Kui Gana basically the further into the alphabet the tighter the curls. Thats how it is for all types, so 3a is really lose, 3b is tighter, 3c is tighter, 4a is tighter than that, and then 4b is tighter than 4a, etc. but when you get into type 4 the curls can be so small you dont see them unless youre close. Theres also different types of curls like coils and zigzags or waves but thats not differentiated in the hair types, its just based on curl size

My hair curls just like this now that’s it’s at that length. And it’s true 4c. Nappy, kinky, curly, dry af without moisture you name it

After growing my locs to hip length I decided to start all over! It only took me 7 years to grow my locs that long, with stretching im confident I can do it again in 5 years~ Good luck to everyone on a length journey!

I want to cut my locs so bad and start all over, it's only 3 years but my hair is still at shoulder length, it's frustrating me. And I am no longer feeling it. 😭 I want to start over and have naturally hair so that I can rock different hairstyles, hopefully my hair grows more

@@charmainephasoana6850 3 years is an awkward time, and a lot of people start getting that itch! I was lucky enough to be a child and my mom told me I couldn't cut my locs till I was 18. It only took 7 years to grow to hip length but I had them since I was 9 and I didn't remember what my natural hair even looked like. Did you struggle with your natural hair before?

Guysss you don’t have to cut your locs off to start a natural hair journey 🥹🥹 plz don’t make the same mistake I made when I was 13 and cut my waist length locs to shoulder length just for my mom to be able to comb it out easier 😭 you can comb them out!!! If it’s too much work for you or a friend/family member, you can pay a hairstylist to do it for you and it takes just about as much time as most of these braided hairstyles take to put in!!

Hi, I'm giving a sister compliment. I thought you were wearing makeup in the shower. I said to myself, "why is she wearing makeup in the shower?" Afterward, you came back with makeup on b4 applying the GEL This shows me that you don't need make-up (my opinion). It's God's natural beauty that He gave you and it is a large compliment coming from me. Blessings and keep up the great job on your hair!!!!

Dear Rey, Good Morning, great progress, with your natural hair treatment it's awesome. I am personally noticing less harsh shampoo collections on the market. Enjoyed the video sis! Folks are killing me with the stress behind this damn hair typing. No one person has hair exactly like the next. All that damn shrinkage and coils this woman is in the 4 type category more than type 3. Type 4 is just that type 4, hell it's about the technique required to care for your hair. For those in the back, she can't do what type 3 people do for their hair. 4a, b,c, h, z or whatever folks come up with, type 4 requires moisture and a gentle hand when detangling. HOW you get the moisture in requires adjustment depending on YOUR hair.

This is not 4 type hair, she is more 3 I know cos I have a sister with the same hair...4 type hair doesn't do what her hair does. My daughter is more 4A and she has baby hairs but this person was given the wrong info.
