Im not sure how long this video has been on here, but ive literally just watched it, my question is how do u soften dreads? My synthetics came the other day and they r still as hell . Please help. X
@bl7nt9984 жыл бұрын
If they came in stiff you can run hot water under them and they'll loosen and be less stiff :)
@jaybentley78774 жыл бұрын
TYSM! Mine jus came in and are stiff.

I saw a video saying to let them soak in apple cider vinegar and warm water. It helps to soften and clean before installation.

What if i have a lot of accessories on my dreads rings and gems should i take them all out everytime i wash it?
@skylerjayy99565 жыл бұрын
I do a very similar in hair washing routine, I have two sets though and when I take out one set I put them in a T-shirt and wash them in a washing machine on delicate 😂 it’s sounds ridiculous but I find it really takes the work out of hand washing and I get the same fresh result. Thought I’d share cause I haven’t seen it online anywhere

Yeah actually! Was juat wondering if you HAVE to blowdry them? I'm gonna get synthetic dreadlocks soon and I read everywhere that its enough to let them dry in the air? Can you tell me about your thoughts on that? Also I love your dreadlocks and your makeup! Thank you for the very infomatitive Video!
@MeVictoryasmith6665 жыл бұрын
I personally air dry and never have problems with smells or molding. I actually have people always telling me how great my hair smells. But I also don't smoke or anything that will cling to the hair.

So I've had my synthetic dreads on and off the past three years. I definitely think I ruined them the first time I had them in. And they do stink. I have washed them once removed with apple cider vinegar. But if they smell is that just permanent damage ? I'd really hate to have to buy a whole new batch.

And we are Spiritual beings who were created by the Universe, youre right. We all have the same Spiritual roots. Or are you Christian and ignoring your Spiritual calling from your homeland and using "appropriation" of your culture as the argument here?
@chichichic4 жыл бұрын
I don't mean to be that person, but the fact that our culture, hairstyle, and struggle is being taken away (nothing new as history shows) breaks my heart. There are black people with dreads that can't find jobs and are being stereotyped as drug dealers and criminals by police today. Yet we need to watch a "pretty" girl do it for a fashion statement. Really think about the people you are stepping on when you make your choices. I know its obviously difficult for the world to have cultural sensitivity but i just hope some real words and history enlightened you on the people that you steal from and don't even think about. Block if you want, I just hope you learn.

It's hair.. I don't see you complaining about white people using black language or any black origins. Its like saying that people of colour can't go for afternoon tea or something because it's British tradition. At least we aren't being horrible about dreads, we're appreciating that it's a lovely look.
@lucritiadarke50253 жыл бұрын
Go back far enough and everyone had hair like this. No one wants to cause offence, but cultural appropriation works across the board. We all love our piercings and tattoos and our vedic meditations, they belong to the human race, we all bleed the same colour, we are all sons daughters and mothers fathers cousins sisters and brothers, we are human above all else. Peace in the valley people🤘
