I think I'm going to try rinseless washing this winter for the first time. Been a "weekend warrior" detailer for a long time but living in Northern Ontario Canada the road grime/salt caking is REAL - even after just a week or two. Reading the comments below about folks using it on 911s and McLaren's but is this method still safe for some medium "caking" of road salt? There's also somewhat obviously going to be a bit of sand stuck to that grime so this is my big concern. Do I just need to get over myself and give it a try? Will definitely use a "dedicated" cubed sponge again to try and minimize dragging any sand across the paint.

It's good for lite to medium dirtiness of vehicles. I'd definitely suggest visiting a self-serve wash to pressure wash it if you have built up grime, then rinseless wash after. Getting a good coating on there ASAP will help it come clean easier and protect your paint from chemical damage.

@@GlanzenDetailing The pre pressure washing is a great idea. The water will freeze on the drive home but I can let it sit in the garage for a bit before doing the rinseless. I've got the 3yr Clean. Ceramic coating coming in the mail so will definitely make sure that gets on there before it gets too cold out. This will be my first ceramic coating on a vehicle so looking forward to trying it!

What was that white substance on the front right inner fender behind the wheel? It was driving me nuts.

Would you do that to a Ferrari?

Yep, works on all cars.

Yes! I’ve used it on 2 McLarens and a 911 targa and it worked wonderfully. Also use it regularly on my daily and most of my customers’ cars. If it’s good enough for show car (Riddler) prep guys like Jason Killmer, it’s good enough for me

Absolutely, so long as it's not muddy or really caked on.
