Right off the bat you got the other big benefit to washing your rig, and caught that gash in the tire. A good hand wash puts you in a position to touch and inspect everything. Loose bolts, hanging wire, nail in tire, all have the potential to strand you on some off road adventure. Thanks for the share.

Bought a 2003 mach 1 about a year ago, not gonna lie, went to do the standard stuff, check fluids and air filter and it was three quarts low on oil, and the air filter looked like the bottom of your truck before you cleaned it, it was a NIGHTMARE to clean...even caused problems with the O2 senor and intake stuff as well, at least thats what t he OBD2 port said, once i cleaned it and ran some seafoam through it reved it out a but everything was golden

I have had a Ryobi (RY802800) gas-powered washer for 4 years and haven't had any issues. I've used it well over 200 hours. Wonder if they ended up going cheap on their washers? Great job cleaning up all that mud! I don't use the pressure washer too much for the belly, I just throw a sprinkler under and leave it for 10 minutes on each section. One issue with muddy water/sand is if it fills up the bell housing, your transmission pump/torque converter seals will get destroyed while they are spinning. Just found this out on my F-150...ugh.

@@AutoEdits I use a nice $16 cannon. www.amazon.com/DUSICHIN-SFL-001-Pressure-Release-Adjustable/dp/B00WPKHFA6/ I use my favorite soap and put it in the bottle. I then adjust the top knob for the most bubbles and then adjust the nozzle for the best coverage. The super bubbly soap that is now foam will pick up dirt off the paint and carry it away. Gets the truck cleaner quicker. With the Foam still on the paint you can use your favorite wash mitt with the 2 bucket method to keep your paint from getting scratched while you wash the truck. With the undercarriage I put dish soap in the bottle and set the nozzle so the foam is a lil more direct. The dish soap will pick up more oils and dirt. I do this to get the dirt out from under my fenders. My Instagram (Skitter302) has a few photos of how I lather up the foam.

@@AutoEdits a foam cannon distributes the soap a lot better than the soap setting on your pressure washer. It also helps the soap/ suds hang out on tbe paint longer and can even pick up the dirt and suspend it in the soap solution which can help prevent scratches. Its a decent investment, I want to say I paid like $18 for mine on amazon and I've had it for nearly 3 years and its still going strong. I highly recommend checking out Obsessed Garage if you haven't already, Matt has a ton of information on his channel about cleaning and detailing. Knock as much rust off with a wire wheel and sanding discs to inspect the frame and components. If everything is in good shape paint it with the stuff I mention in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zpu7hqSfZtGWgdU

Great fix for the transfer case shifter , i understand 37's on the Jeep. But are they the best size for the pickup ? they seem to add a lot of issues.

They are but only because the truck is at near stock height. With a lift, they would fit with much less modification.

Just so I got this straight, Pressure wash the undercarriage for heavy cake stuff then scrub and add the Lucas tool box? I have a ton of grime underneath is the tool box a degreaser or just an oil?
@AutoEdits
@AutoEdits Жыл бұрын
It's not a degreaser but it does help loosen some grime and then I use it as a protective coating.

Hi Jason Just got some of this tool box buddy So Iam a rookie when it comes to this stuff I can pretty much spray it anywhere under the Jeep but not near or on the brakes is that correct??? And if I have a bit of rust I can sand it off and spray paint it??

Jason, I keep revisiting this video and your Jeep cleaning video and love the content! Quick question though, would you ever consider Rhino or Line-X as an undercoating? May not be too big a deal for Southern California but snow states would love to know. Lots of misinformation out there and hope you’re willing to weigh in on the subject? Thanks man!
@AutoEdits
@AutoEdits 4 жыл бұрын
Howdy! I'm not sure how the line-x (or like product) would do on all the suspension bits and pieces and I've heard that if there was any corrosion underneath when it gets applied... it keeps going. What about that Por15 or something along those lines? It has properties to seal and protect.
