Right off the bat you got the other big benefit to washing your rig, and caught that gash in the tire. A good hand wash puts you in a position to touch and inspect everything. Loose bolts, hanging wire, nail in tire, all have the potential to strand you on some off road adventure. Thanks for the share.

Great job cleaning up all that mud! I don't use the pressure washer too much for the belly, I just throw a sprinkler under and leave it for 10 minutes on each section. @Skitter3025 жыл бұрын
@@AutoEdits I use a nice $16 cannon. www.amazon.com/DUSICHIN-SFL-001-Pressure-Release-Adjustable/dp/B00WPKHFA6/ I use my favorite soap and put it in the bottle. I then adjust the top knob for the most bubbles and then adjust the nozzle for the best coverage. The super bubbly soap that is now foam will pick up dirt off the paint and carry it away. Gets the truck cleaner quicker. With the Foam still on the paint you can use your favorite wash mitt with the 2 bucket method to keep your paint from getting scratched while you wash the truck. With the undercarriage I put dish soap in the bottle and set the nozzle so the foam is a lil more direct. The dish soap will pick up more oils and dirt. I do this to get the dirt out from under my fenders. My Instagram (Skitter302) has a few photos of how I lather up the foam.

@@AutoEdits a foam cannon distributes the soap a lot better than the soap setting on your pressure washer. It also helps the soap/ suds hang out on tbe paint longer and can even pick up the dirt and suspend it in the soap solution which can help prevent scratches. Its a decent investment, I want to say I paid like $18 for mine on amazon and I've had it for nearly 3 years and its still going strong. I highly recommend checking out Obsessed Garage if you haven't already, Matt has a ton of information on his channel about cleaning and detailing. Jason, I keep revisiting this video and your Jeep cleaning video and love the content! Quick question though, would you ever consider Rhino or Line-X as an undercoating? May not be too big a deal for Southern California but snow states would love to know. Lots of misinformation out there and hope you’re willing to weigh in on the subject? Thanks man!

Howdy! I'm not sure how the line-x (or like product) would do on all the suspension bits and pieces and I've heard that if there was any corrosion underneath when it gets applied... it keeps going. What about that Por15 or something along those lines? It has properties to seal and protect.

AutoEdits I’ll check that out. Thanks! Please keep the videos coming and I’ll be sure to use your links when I pick up some Lucas Oil products. Hope you and Pinto are getting some good soccer time in during these crazy times! Be safe out there ✌️

So after I scrub differential and rinse I just let it dry off and then spray Lucas on it?

Now that Lucas has discontinued tool box buddy, what product do you recommend for chasis detailing?
@AutoEdits3 жыл бұрын
They still sell it on Amazon for now but I get the Penetrating Oil and it is the same !

Does the tool box buddy collect dirt on the suspension components? Seems like dirt will stick to it once you go offroad.

It doesn't really cause me any problems at all.

Thanks for the video, very informative. I just bought a used 4x4. Plenty of rust and grease and grime on the undercarriage. Obvious the last dude didn't take care of all the aftermarket parts(seriously who lets a Rancho kit get so bad?) What's the best way to go about beginning the process of cleaning it?

Do what you see in this video and that will help you get in the right direction.

Don't worry Rancho kit comes bad from the company.

Did it work on the rust and grease off the undercarriage of your 4x4? I have the same issue on one that I recently purchased.
