Will you be signing up for Netflix to stream the games on Christmas?

I saw the games on Netflix - it was fine. I was already a Netflix subscriber. Huge/massive audience for the NFL Christmas games on Netflix.

I realize this is late, but the NFL network still aired the games also. I was able to watch the games with Sling blue.

Yes, I will be giving Netflix a shot after cancelling my subscription over eight years ago. But I'm adding this subscription in the spirit of frugality which is the theme of your uploads. I've been a NBA League Pass subscriber since it started streaming. The package was a lot more expensive in those days. After all these years I have decided to cancel my monthly subscription because I'm just not interested in watching any more NBA games than are available via national networks. Since I will no longer be paying a little over a 100 a year for League Pass, I can use that money for Netflix at 7 dollars a month. I'm not just doing it for the NFL as I know there is a lot in their library that interests me. But frankly I doubt if I would have subscribed again if not for the incentive of the NFL games.

I recall they are paying $75,000,000 per game, so $150,000,000 of our membership money is going to that. As for the amateur boxing match and the eating contest where the guys were eating the fake hotdogs, I watched none of that stuff. I gave up baseball after the MLB / Players Union had a lockout/strike back in 1994. So for me, even if a game was still OTA as in the old days, these days I wouldn't be watching, what with all the ads and naming rights and every piece of info having a sponsor attached to it. I laughed way back when when, during a baseball game I was watching, so yeah, prior to 1994, the announcer said the following: "This call to the bullpen is brought to you by AT&T" Football games have an additional 15 minutes of ads since they are blocked out at 3 1/4 hours instead of the 3 hours they had been. I have watched enough tv over my lifetime that I never want to sit and watch ads messing up whatever I am watching, especially since the producers all seem to think, 'oh what's another 15 or 30 seconds of ads.' Death by 1,000 cuts hurts less than the slicing and dicing producers do to a tv show or movie or sporting event. The half-time show is not a draw since it's most likely going to be lip-synched, just like the February event's show. For me, personally, she's not my cup of tea when it comes to music performers. One last thing: I'd understand paying for the games if Christmas was on a Sunday, since that is the regular day games are played. But to create game days for Wednesday, thursday, and Friday for the 3-year series is wrong. I'm sure it's got to do with the already locked and loaded broadcasters for the regular day games. Ok this is my last word: Let me get in my extreme displeasure for the huge waste of money netflix is spending on that stuff that is starting in Jan. If I recall correctly, that is a $5,000,000,000 deal. I really want my money for debacle.

Hopefully the fix the issues cause it was bad watching the fight.
@FrugalRules20 күн бұрын
Agreed. We didn't watch the fight, other than trying a few times when we heard it was horrible. If they don't fix the issues they're really going to upset people.

I have some breaking news peacock is getting into some rsns channels possible in 2025 and FanDuel is possible coming to Peacock too

We spoke about that first piece during a live stream back in October, when it was announced. It'll be a nice little add, in our opinion.

For me, if they would add Root Sports, that would be perfect, as I already have Peacock and that would cover the bulk of my Mariners viewing!

WHY could I NOT get these games when I'm a longtime Netfix subscriber? Am I missing something?
@FrugalRules17 сағат бұрын
We're not sure why as the games were available for all subscribers. We've not heard of any reports of widespread issues.

You know need three streaming services to watch all the games. It's a cash grab by the NFL.
