Question: The room my Xbox in does not have a cable box. But it does have the basic cable Coax cable from the provider (Suddenlink). Can you, please, show how to set this up? Having a TV guide would be amazing. Note: I tried it myself and was unsuccessful.

I tried setting this up per your instructions. I did the Guide Me and when it tried to “send a signal” part my Xbox stopped sending its signal to my tv. Now when the Xbox isn’t being displayed on the tv, even directly without the cable box also being connected. Any ideas?

Curious. I bought an HDMI splitter in hopes that I don’t have to just run my cable box through my xBox. Will that work? Because when I got it I plugged them both into the splitter. Splitter is connected directly to the cable box. Works fine on my xBox but have signal issues on my TV unless I unplug the xBox from the splitter. Was hoping that I could run them on both. All my settings are perfect both on xBox and TV, but still the signal issues, even with the xBox turned off. Can it still send a signal through to my xBox even if it’s turned off? As an ex presenter and IT Trainer I wish all such technical tutorials was as good as this one, very clear and detailed BUT have to say that I personally apart from wishing to still make use of HUMAX 1100s (PVR) hard drive to schedule and record TV programmes - what is the point of doing this ??? Is it just for the purposes of using the XBOX ONE Controller to control their TV which to me would be far more complex than using the one handed TV remote. Also as best I can tell the programme scheduler and menu which was shown in your video is certainly not as good as my TV remote. I recently purchased a LG 65" 4K Smart TV because it allowed for a direct satellite connection allowing me stop using the HUMAX 1100s top box that thanks to EU energy requirements takes over a minute to boot up every time I want to watch the TV. Now with the LG Smart TV it only takes about 5 seconds :-) but even though the LG will record it will only do to a USB stick or drive and not allow me to watch anything else :-(. I am not a big game player but on learning about this TV and XBOX ONE connectivity thought such connectivity of the satellite signal first going through the top box to the XBOX ONE console then to the TV via HDMI it would be possible to use the recording system and its hard drive - am I expecting too much ? Would really appreciate much wiser users of XBOX ONE to put me right. Thank you.

Use the xbox Hdmi cable with the hdmi out from the xbox one then use any hdmi cable to connect it to your sat

This is so much better I have a 4K TV and sorry ass frontier cable in the box could only do 1080 P but by connecting this to my Xbox all my TV shows now are 4K this is the way to do it shut out the Xbox one

Hello, I have a set top box, my service provider streams in 4K when available. My Xbox is the the the XBox X (2019) and supports 4K gaming, streaming, and other apps that support 4K. My television is a LG 4k UHD smart TV. When I hook up the cable box, it comes in at 4K on the TV. When I book up the Xbox, it also comes in in at 4K. When I put the HDMI cable from the cable box into the input port on the Xbox liable Sat/cable, and then x box out to TV, the TV it only recognized the Xbox as 4k and the cable box changes its setting to HD. Does the Input HDMI port on the Xbox not support 4k?

I've got a funai Lf320fx4f tv and my ps4 works perfectly fine on it, just got an xbox one and it doesn't work with the tv. HDMI is connected perfectly, I've tried several to rule that out as well. The xbox works on my sharp smart tv just fine, but not my gaming one. Any suggestions?

You need 2 HDMIs. 1 connecting your Cable box to Xbox, the 2nd HDMI connects your Xbox to the TV

I used this to transfer xbox 360 games to xbox one considering i bought a pre owned that wasnt hard drive cleared so i have games but i cant game share then ti myself so i used am hdmi for the xbox and plugged it in to my tv and took a spare hdmi and plugged in the xbox 360 side to the xbox one. Hey so I've got a question maybe you can answer this I just bought a 4K smart Vizio 50-inch TV and I am put my Xbox 1 up to it and the sound is off like I will play a movie and sometimes the people's voices will go through and sometimes they want or they'll be solo at the turn the volume all the way up to be able to hear them but then I could turn around and put my Xbox back up to my older TV and I'll be just fine do you know what I need to do in order to fix that if you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated

Yes, the xbox is basically just a window letting you see the screen that your cable is presenting. You could even plug other gaming systems into this input allowing you to play a PS4 or other gaming systems threw your xbox
