As for the extra drive. The plate stops just short of where the riser screw would go to secure the drive. I used the extra thermal pads to create a friction foot on the top side of the drive. That way, when the final plate goes into place, it will hold the drive level, and the adhesives on the pad are just enough to hold it into place.

You're right in the realms of console/pc modifying by this stage so you have to expect to solve a few issues yourself. Usually once you get to a custom loop on a waterxooled pc you are solving some problems that are unique to your build, this just seems similar. To me.

a lot of work and money to at most have a little more stability in games and maybe an increase of 5 to 15 fps at most with games that support VRR, honestly I wouldn't buy it, at most I would think about buying it if a ps5 pro came out and if you couldn't maintain 120fps in games because it heats up too much, then I would think about it.

I dont understand where is the power button? Why you dont extend the button to mod it into an case? So you can switch it on whit a case . The secound question is…. Where is the power connector? The antennas will not like to be that close of a metal block. Have you tried the wifi performances before installing the monobloc and after ?

We tested the wifi performance before and after with no noticeable differences. You can also install the antennas elsewhere, and you can even place them far away from the monoblock (outside the system) using the IPX / U.FL (male) to SMA (female) extender cables.

Yes. But they did not show them installing the mounting screw for it, and now I have to remove the plate to put it in. They did include the mount riser in the kit. Just didn't show Installing it.

Never seen an overheated ps5, anyway, the project was made to be used with liquid metal, kind of an oversight from EK. With supposedly better cooling i think PS5 would be able to sustain both cpu and gpu at max clocks all the time instead of doing an balancing act between the 2. Maybe some games would be able to benefit from it?

MASSIVE WASTE OF MONEY considering it's not an actual enclosed unit and you still need to spend additional money to do so. This is what I call an Epic Phail! To justify a mod of this price point, the finished product needs to be just that… FINISHED!!! This is a base kit that still requires purchasing more components to finish. This will not sell well at all, especially given how the PS5, while it does run hot, isn't experiencing overheating issues like the PS4 did. For $475 it should include everything needed, resulting in a complete console.

First of all, the assembly is very complicated. You basically have to disassemble the console completely. It's difficult for someone who doesn't do it on daily basis. Then the guide ends halfway through without explaining how to put it back together.

This is a pointless product, with PS5 slim is just being around the corner there is no need to pay $449 + a case to cool down your ps5, the ps5 slim runs around 30% cooler than its predecessor ( take this with a grain of salt) and it consumes only 150w (vs 200w) during gaming sessions. rather than the looks, there is no need for this, its bad timing EK, Id rather invest in a cooling kit for the upcoming PS5 PRO that draws 350W during gaming.

If you read the included product manual (as this video is just for showing you how to attach the block to the motherboard) it'll note that you plug it into a standard ATX/SFX Power supply via 2x8pin EPS connectors
