Nice video! Is the striker sharp enough (sharp 90 degree) to shave tinder from wood and light a ferro Rod?

It can be. You'd just have to spend a minute or two with a stone to sharpen up that 90.

There's a way to do that and end up with sleeves and a hood, I can't recall how though. Kind of turns it in to a wool poncho. Somehow. Dangit.
