What you should know about your retainers
Teeth tend to shift when braces are removed. So you must wear retainers to keep your teeth straight.
How to wear retainers
Place the wire in front of your front teeth.
Bring the wire loops (Red circle) on the canines,
and press down the pink plastic all the way.
Don;t bite down to seat the retainer. It will distort the wire.
How to remove retainers
Gently lift wire on the molar
Upper retainers are the same.
How to clean retainers
Rinse with cold water.
You can use soft bristle toothbrush. Use kitchen soap or denture cleaner rather than toothpaste.
Hot water can warp the retainer.
Store them in the case to prevent loss or damage.
Please bring the retainer at recall check. It may get tightened.
