I love that you show different body types in your examples. I'm currently in between a plus and standard size (14,L, XL 5'3" 46,36,48) and I can see something on someone plus size and think I won't look good in that and look at someone in a standard size and think I won't look good in that. So seeing it both ways makes me think maybe it would look good on me.

Thank you so much for saying you don’t want people to feel like they are limited to their colors or seasons! I discovered seasons on KZbin a couple years ago and went through a crazy phase trying to pare my closet down based on color. I almost gave away some pieces that I really love in the process just because they didn’t quite fit in my season. And I never even really figured out what my season was lol. Now that I’ve moved past my crazy color season phase, although I do still stick to some general color rules, I think I’m much happier for it.

Yes color is my mood buster. We are still not stable with having warm temp constantly yet, so this really is important because it can become depressing that even tho it Spring you still have to bundle up. Never understood the color wheel but at a point it seem there really no strict guidelines any more. I remember, we use to ask each other if our garment of the same color was close enough match for us to get away with wearing them together and now it called monochrome. lol Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

Awesome! One of my favourite tips that I use is definately pairing neutrals with bold/bright/neons to make them more wearable & toned down. Also even though I'm cool toned, I still like warm colours so tend to have these pieces away from my face so I dont look so washed out (trousers, skirts, shorts, accessories) 👌

I so appreciate how you encourage us to think outside the box to freshen our look and enjoy getting dressed. You pointed out a few things that made me realize my prejudices about color. I don't wear blue and gold together because they were my HS colors; love houndstooth check but never wear it because that was the pattern of my grade school uniform 😄. I really like the idea of cutting the colour wheel in half - genius! I saw an art installation where the artist had painted a hundred boxes of different colours blended together. Some of the boxes were bold, or pastel, or a mix of both. I took pictures of it and use it as reference when I can't be ar*sed to rack my brain about outfit colour combos.💆🏽😅

You could easily have a series on great color combinations. 😎 I’m a civilian who works in a medical group, so I’m fortunate enough to be able to not have to wear a uniform. I try to keep colors in my wardrobe that flatter my skin tone and look somewhat professional. So, I have lots of interchangeable pieces (like Garanimals for adults). Every new piece I get “needs” to work with at least 3 other things in my closet. I’m on a budget and always looking for new, interesting combinations. Love from the spooky Pine Barrens in NJ

Hiya, I’m a fashion gal too (in my 60s tho) and live in north Florida too girl!! But I often feel like I am the ONLY one in this stupid university town who is…Dillards always has these FABULOUS shoes but I wanna know WHO the hell is buying them? I don’t see ANYONE except me wearing awesomely cool footwear…just yours truly. Although I get compliments every time I leave my abode, which yes, is lovely, it’s kinda lonely being the ONLY fashionista within a 2-3 hours drive (maybe even further). I’ve got 3 closets (yeah I know) but I am a vintage collector and have been since my early teens, thanks to an incredibly stylish grandmother and an equally stylish mom. But it was my maternal grandmother who taught me everything I know about style, not fashion, but STYLE. But my paternal grandma was not a frumpy dresser by any means, it just wasn’t her “thing” exactly. But I digress. I so enjoy your videos, just wanted to let ya know. It’s rather sad that the women my age on youtube are so incredibly BORING…(OMG) but perhaps one day I will take the youtube plunge myself. I have all the necessary equipment, from camera to lighting, I just haven’t been brave enough. But my frustration level is steadily increasing so who knows? Why must women in their 60s dress so “basic” to be “stylish”? Why can’t we be creative and incorporate our coolest vintage finds (accessories AND clothing pieces) in a fresh and cool YOUTHFUL, FUNKY way? Of course we can…but where are the youtube creators MY age inspiring others OUR age to do this, showing us HOW they do it? The fashion content creators my age are stylist (I guess) but man, no fun at ALL. I don’t dress too young, I don’t dress weird. I would say it’s “fresh”, that it’s “modern” and it’s always always INTERESTING. But there is one fashion rule I do live by, a la Coco Chanel: before I leave the house, I take one thing off…that always pulls everything together. Keep on doing what you’re doing. Love watching your videos. You’re funny and always ALWAYS interesting. And that my dear, is what will grow your channel with an ageless audience!!

I love this, Leigh! And yes, you should 100% start a youtube channel! You just have to try some different colors and shades and see what looks great on you. You'll know it when you see it on! I also like that any color is in fashion if it looks good on you.
