If you need to use your club socks you can cut them as close to the ankle as possible (on the ribbing) and then you can hand sew or use a sewing machine to stop fraying. And if you dont want to tuck your shin pads into the socks at the bottom you can put them over and but a short compression sleeve and put that over (or you can just tape the top of your shinpad to your skin. And hes only saying this if you want to use grip socks. So dont just do this if you think it looks cool! Happy balling! (please pin this unisport so more people can see it)

@@zainyardo1136 tape can be cheap and I definitely recommend it as it stops shin pads from moving. However it doesn’t have to be sock tape. Any electrical tape will do and even coloured bandages. Just don’t wrap it too tightly

I want to try this but my coach gets really mad at someone on my team that wears sock sleeves instead of the normal team socks even though they are the same colour. My teammate then cut the team socks so she could still wear her grip socks underneath but her grip socks are different colour so the coach can still see them. You don't need to buy a sleeve, just get some soccer socks and cut the foot part out!!!! Any sized sock will do. The junior kids size socks are cheaper and it won't matter the size once you cut the foot
