One thing I loved as a kid was the street at the entrance of a new neighborhood we lived in had similar size trees on both sides of the street on both sides of the road for several blocks. They would wrap the trunks up with white lights, and use alternating green and red for the branches on every other tree. Could be a good look on properties with several trees esp if similarly sized.

I don't care for the look of the led lights vs. incandescent. I agree usess less electricity. However, I've had led bulbs/lights burn out too. I'll stick with incandescent
